Ringneck Pheasant Farm (Putting Blinders on)

I head back out to the pheasant farm to help put the blinders on the last batch of the year! It was a new and interesting process to me and I had a great time!! I checked pigeon traps on my way home and had good success with that as well!!! Thanks for all you support and enjoy the video!

I am so impressed to know someone is really serious farming this bird. I started with a couple of pheasants 2 months ago (in Indonesia a pheasant is quite expensive, especially lady amherst) your video encourages a lot, thank you.

The crooked neck is called wry neck and it’s usually a vitamin or mineral deficiency. I’ve had ducks and chickens come out of the incubator like that and if you give them fresh oregano ground up on some feed or just get it down their throats it’ll bring em out of it. It can take a few days to a few weeks but that bird there would be running around like nothing ever happened in 4 or 5 days.

I’m gonna get into raising pheasants again in the next year. I never raised em in that scale but I raised a good many of em. I had to let everything go 7 years ago when I got injured and spent the next year in a recliner. It’s time to get back to living now.

its a vitamin e deficiency. it can be cured by feeding one capsules worth of liquid vit e into their mouth for about 2 or 3 weeks.

Amazing! So large farm! Thank you for your sharing. We bred a kind of Asia pheasant in the past, they fought, pecked and ate others’ meat; experienced people said just give a little salt water, then would be fine, and give minerals and Vitamins is helpful to grow up and increase eggs quantities & quality. Looking forward to your next video, farming and hunting.👍

Good evening Jordan, always good on the Pheasant farm you put Blinders on. In the UK it's just a pecking bit. White pheasant albino or Hybrid, a genetic mutation whereby it's feathers can't make colour. l have one at home which I shot on a shoot day at Elsham Hall and had it Mounted . Good on the pigeon trapping. Some more butchery please, or a tour round your farm yard .We love Winston the Tank!! Take care all of you, Ann and Malc U K (England) xxx

We used to put bits in there mouths to stop them pecking each other,it's just a little plastic split ring each end of the split goes in the nostril and through the mouth and into the other nostril it stops them closing there beeks which stops them pulling the feather's of other birds
