RING PIT METHOD SUGARCANE CULTIVATION | Sugarcane Farming Guide
A new method of sugarcane cultivation is called the pit method or ring pit method, which is cost-effective and at the same time helps farmers to get a higher yield, is slowly catching on. Several farm trials have proved that by adopting this ring-pit method, the crop yield can be increased to two or three times compared to the row-to-row planting technique.
Through the ring pit method of sugarcane planting, localized application of fertilizers is done in pits. It is considered that applied nutrient is used more efficiently as these are placed in the vicinity of roots which accommodate a greater amount of millable canes per unit area for yield maximization.

This is good concept. Sugarcane is everyone's favourite to break fast during fasting Ramadhan
I am curious about the harvesting. I grew up in the sugarcane business and spent time on the Kenana Sugar Plantation in Sudan in the mid 80s. My father worked for CAMECO which was bought out by John Deere and he would love to have known of this. RIP Dad. Beautiful video.

yeah I dont think that its going to catch on where Australia is concerned.. I think they are well over 180 tonnes, maybe even over 320tonnes.. or was it 380..anyway Im sure if your planting it by hand then its not something that needs a lots of tech.

In Tamilnadu.In cauvery river belt people produce 100 tonnes per acre.In well irrigation method we produce 75 tonnes per acre.

OMG, i read data for our uttarakhand state - and it says approx 70 tonnes per Hectare - so it shall be around just 25-28 tonnes per acre

Hi, Your video is excellent and i,we want to Know where did you shoot this video , after how many months you will get the Yield of 150 tonnes, what is the variety of Sugarcane ,is it hybrid ,how much length it will grow, what is the threshold limit, I could appreciate if you give the details, The bottom line it's excellent to promote sugar cane cultivation and reduce the labour.

@Kundan Patil how they do that ? in my area the main Farming is the sugarcan but In the last ten years, production fell from an average of 60 and 80 to 35 and 25 tons per acre

@@PRISMGAMES6858 everything lies in the type of soil and Fertility and Offcourse water . The ones making 80+ use Cow/buffalo dung composted fertilisers first and then usual fertilisers
