Its because silver is practically free and gold is expensive. I am sure it would be the other way around if gold was the cheap metal.

just a suggestion for you beautiful folks planning on buying rings, try not buying diamonds unless the retailer complies with Clean Diamond Trade Act policies, to avoid blood diamonds. just a suggestion :D

Blood diamonds (aka conflict diamonds) at first referred to diamonds sold to fund civil wars in countries like Sierra Leone, Liberia, Angola, the Republic of Congo, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, which caused about 3.7 million civilian deaths. Now, although only a small portion of diamonds are sold to fuel bloodshed, still the majority are mined with unfair labor practices and human rights violations. "Clean Diamond Trade Act" and "Kimberley Process Certification Scheme" help to regulate the diamond industry and prevent those atrocities from happening. You can ask the retailer or store if they abide by these regulations.

Had little yelp when I saw this in my notifications. I can really appreciate that it was tricky to film and loved that stop motion bit at the beginning. I got the Monica Vinader rings after seeing them on Jessie ages ago. I wouldn't recommend either as the rose gold wears off so much and you are left with basically silver rings (I've had them re-plated once and it only lasted about 2 weeks)! I am now starting my ring collection again with solid gold.

Also Jess I think many of your viewers might agree with me when I sat I LOVE this style of video! I mean I can understand how you might want to do something a bit creative and different but I've read a couple comments down below and we love the chatty GRWM/sit down style vids partly bc it is just a more personal style of doing things and I think sometimes that just really nice bc it's like you're sitting down talking to us IRL :) haha idk if that made sense but anyways it's always so nice to see a sit down chat vid from you! That's so sweet about your grandma's signet ring Jess! I wear my dad's old signet ring, it was given to my mum when he died and because it is so big I can't fit it on anything but my thumb! We both have M first names and M last names and the ring has a single M on, which I really like. Nice to know that someone does this too!
