@Ash Witherton True... and it DEEPLY HURTSS saying that because SAWAYAMA is literally in my DNA. I LOVE that album. But this EP has no underwhelming or mundane songs, clean and pristine mixing, absolutely impeccable production, and the overall aesthetic is very enjoyable. So this EP is better, although with only a slight margin.

I remember listening to Rina during my Senior High School days, walking at the break of dawn to my school, which was in the city. I was alone during those days, afraid that I will get mugged, killed, and forever forgotten, but whenever this song started blasting on my cheap and old earphones- everything felt like I was traveling through a rainbow sent from the future. The corporate buildings and fading lights of the street lamps became my disco ball, as I walk past people who were unfortunate enough to sleep on the streets. This song was like a filter for almost 4 minutes that I can see the world through, that tells me everything isn't that bad with the right soundtrack. This song was like the warm embrace of a friend that I didn't know I had, at that time, an underground pop artist, but by some parasocial-modern age miracle, I connected with this song to a level- I didn't know I can experience. Thank you Rina and Clarence for making such a wonderful song and EP.

Utada is the daughter of the Legend singer Keiko Fuji in the Showa period in Japan. She has the smokiest female voice of all. I knew she was pretty, too. Respected humans who influenced this young talent in the US.

I know right. She only has around 270,000 follower on Spotify and only gets around 1,700,086 monthly listeners. She’s starting to get recognised more now from people like Elton John, so I’m expecting her to blow up between the end of 2020 and start of 2021 :)

she's mariah's british-japanese musical daughter. Reminds me of Kelela who is Janet Jackson and Amel Larrieux 's musical daughter. I'm gonna be a huge fan of this girl. I love her songs, so emotional and her voice and the production is perfect. Basically like the early 2000s mixed with tumblr and modern sound too.

It's about a number of things! I believe she said that whole EP was about internet culture, and grappling with the problems of social media. One of the things its about is being addicted to your phone/the internet/social media spaces, and feeling lonelier all the while. You're surrounded by people, you're at "parties" online... but they're not really there at all. Another is wanting to go out, but your social battery is drained or you feel too introverted, so your brain holds you back. These are some of my interpretations, and there are more, but I don't wanna force mine on you :)
