Grandissimo Valerij Abisalovic Gergiev.Ho avuto modo di sentirlo qualche anno fa a Milano con l"Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi e il pianista georgiano Alexander Toradze. Il programma era incentrato su musiche di Prokofiev.

this Scheherazade is so soft. Check what the Wiener ph. did with Gergiev 13 years earlier in Salzburg. Night and day

gergiev has tried the same sound here it just sounds different because of the Acoustics-pannells otherwise it would be as great as the salzburg festival recording. but i agree with you on the fact that this one is a little bit out of Touch - but still sounds great though!

Gergiev takes Scherezade FOR A RIDE or used to, in at least one performance I’ve heard. I prefer his to just about any one else, I think.
