आज से ५० साल पहले मरीन लाइन्स और गेटवे ऑफ़ इंडिया कैसा दिखाता था और आज कैसा है कितना बदल गया है सब कुछ वाकई गाना देखकर पुराने दिनों की याद आ गयी.

बेहद खूबसूरत गाना है और फिल्मांकन भी बेहद खूबसूरत किया गया है।

This song shows the genius of RD Burman and his tenacity to always challenge the tradition and the norm. He gave this fast preppy number to Lata Mangeshkar who was a classically trained singer whereas the semi-classical version was given to Kishore Kumar who was not a classically trained singer. And when comparing both songs, in my honest opinion, Lata Mangeshkar's version is far superior simply because the amount of variations she used in such a fast-paced song is truly astounding without losing the breath or the rhythm. I believe RD Burman, Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar are demi-gods, who were born in our lifetime with a divine inspiration. And we are lucky that we are in a time where these songs are readily available to listen to whenever we can. May their souls rest in heaven! LK 🇱🇰 🇱🇰 🇱🇰

The more I listen to it, the more I am convinced in the coming 22nd century Lataji and the cameraman both will be remembered by 100s of millions for the sheer brilliance of both. The cameraman is not famous today but one day he will be. What brilliance! What creativity! Gem of gems.

What a wonderful song, reminds me of my medical college days in Karachi in 70s. We had a Mazda 323 then and we drove to Clifton Beach in pouring rain , the classes off, time to enjoy , five medical students crammed in a car with this song on car stereo. I did not know what film who sang it and who were the actors and never knew which film let alone watch it. The rain looked so beautiful then in summer months and this song was so popular . The barefoot saree clad lady is so full of joy with her lover on their day out in rain , so beautiful sensuous yet respectful , the song is heavier than 1000 songs produced today in melody lyrics music and picturisation. 40 years down the timeline I am now listening to this song again with all its visuals, memories flooding back , thanks for sharing, this time I am in cold Scotland where it rains all the time and rain does not look as pretty as it was back then but this song looks even more beautiful today.

What a lyric what a composition ? The best ever romantic song of lataji and Kishore Da ।

Beautifully shot rainy day scenes, Old Bombay looked sure free of flooding , no sewage water flowing out.. I was quite shocked to experience a harsh truth in 1991.Flooding after just 3 days of monsoon rains there!!! Alas..every major Indian city has gone the Bombay way in recent decades.. Delhi- NCR, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Cochin, Mangalore... and so on

After seeing this movie I took my wife in the rain singing "pyar hua ekrar hua hai pyar sey phir kyon darta hai dil." it a was fun filled days. we never ha a single naya paisa because of low salary, but we enjoyed a lot. after living for 32 years with me, she left me alone last weak. now I have only her memories. there are 1000s of songs with me, each attached with a memorable incident - some sad, some funny, ...................
