Story time I slapped my ear buds in and jumped on my Harley for a ride. Saw his name on Spotify so I was like hell let’s check this guy out. I got to listening to him for idk how many miles. Ended up 6 counties over just jamming the hell out to Riley Green the whole way. Best day I’ve had in a while.

No better music to do it to than Ol Riley Green ! Hard to leave was our favorite to listen to backed up down a grew up road on my daddy’s land sittin on the tailgate with the fire going and some pillows threw in tha back! Every time I go back to those memories Riley Green was what was on the radio lol ahhh good times and it’s finally cold in the south now and it’s about that time to do it again !

Still got my 2 tone 1980 model Chevrolet my Dad bought brand new, with the original Bill of sale from the Dealership in the dash, and still runs good with a little rust, and faded paint. Find myself praying and hoping that my son will get to hear these songs and feel whats actually being said. This one, and "If it wasnt for trucks" hits home. Im not even 30 yet but it seems to me my view on things are a lot different and oldschool. The way i was raised, and the way I still live to this day is, if it breaks down or gives trouble fix it. Could be Marriage, relationships, mistakes made, old tractor, or a old truck with 350k miles. Dont just scrap it and throw it away. Fix it and do some maintence on it. Anything brand new dosent have a good story like something thats been around and had ups and downs. "They just dont make them like that anymore" 🤙🤝 Riley I do hope you and everybody in the sawmill sessions keep writing and playing music as long as your able to 😅

I’m still driving this Chevrolet Daddy bought it new back in 88’ It’s more rust than two tone paint Turn the key and it’ll crank [Verse] My first guitar was was a Epiphone Same ole one I’m still pickin on Thought about sellin when times got tough Just couldn’t give it up [Chorus] They don’t make em’ like that no more Some thangs you can’t find in a discount store Just somethin bout bein hand made And bought with cash on a firm hand shake Like old zebcos and pocket knives Shot-gun rifles and four-wheel drives Like these wore out pair of boots that my daddy wore. They don’t make em’ like that no more. [verse] Little white house my daddy built cross a cotton farm up on a hill He sawed every board in the local saw mill In a hundred years it’ll be standin still [Chorus] They don’t make em’ like that no more Some thangs you can’t find in a discount store Just somethin bout bein hand made And bought with cash on a firm hand shake Like old zebcos and pocket knives Shot-gun rifles and four-wheel drives Like these wore out pair of boots that my daddy wore. They don’t make em’ like that no more. [verse] I gotta cardboard box marked give away Full of old cassettes and 8 track tapes That’s the first time I ever heard Hank don’t wanna hear-em’ any other way [Chorus] They don’t make em’ like that no more Some thangs you can’t find in a discount store Just somethin bout bein hand made And bought with cash on a firm hand shake Like old zebcos and pocket knives Shot-gun rifles and four-wheel drives Like these wore out pair of boots that my daddy wore. They don’t make em’ like that no more. [Bridge] My grand-daddy cussed and chewed red-man My Granny prayed and new every hymn They don’t make em like that no more They don’t make em like that no more [Chorus] They don’t make em’ like that no more Some thangs you can’t find in a discount store Just somethin bout bein hand made And bought with cash on a firm hand shake Like old zebcos and pocket knives Shot-gun rifles and four-wheel drives Like these wore out pair of boots that my daddy wore. I’m still driving this Chevrolet Daddy bought it new back in 88’ It’s more rust than two tone paint Turn the key and it will crank My first guitar was a Epiphone Same ole one I’m still pickin on Thought about sellin when times got tough Just couldn’t give it up They don’t make em’ like that no more Some things you can’t find in a discount store Just somethin bout bein hand made And bought with cash on a firm hand shake Like old zebcos and pocket knives Shot-gun rifles and four-wheel drives Like these wore out pair of boots that my daddy wore They don’t make em’ like that no more I gotta cardboard box marked give away Full of old cassettes and 8 track tapes That’s the first time I ever heard Hank don’t wanna hear-em’ any other way Little white house my daddy built cross a cotton farm up on a hill He sawed every board in the local saw mill In a hundred years it’ll be standin still They don’t make em’ like that no more Some things you can’t find in a discount store Just somethin bout bein hand made And bought with cash on a firm hand shake Like old zebcos and pocket knives Shot-gun rifles and four-wheel drives Like these wore out pair of boots that my daddy wore They don’t make em’ like that no more My grand-daddy cussed and chewed red-man My Granny prayed and new every hymn They don’t make em like that no more They don’t make em like that no moooooore They don’t make em’ like that no more Some things you can’t find in a discount store Just somethin bout bein hand made And bought with cash on a firm hand shake Like old zebcos and pocket knives Shot-gun rifles and four-wheel drives Like these wore out pair of boots that my daddy wore They don’t make em’ like that no more They don’t make em like that no more
