I rode around 200 miles yesterday, I stopped at a store to get something to drink and heard this song playing on the radio and I said to myself, wow someone is making some damn good music! Still got my 2 tone 1980 model Chevrolet my Dad bought brand new, with the original Bill of sale from the Dealership in the dash, and still runs good with a little rust, and faded paint. Find myself praying and hoping that my son will get to hear these songs and feel whats actually being said. This one, and "If it wasnt for trucks" hits home. Im not even 30 yet but it seems to me my view on things are a lot different and oldschool. The way i was raised, and the way I still live to this day is, if it breaks down or gives trouble fix it. Could be Marriage, relationships, mistakes made, old tractor, or a old truck with 350k miles. Dont just scrap it and throw it away. Fix it and do some maintence on it. Anything brand new dosent have a good story like something thats been around and had ups and downs. "They just dont make them like that anymore" 🤙🤝 Riley I do hope you and everybody in the sawmill sessions keep writing and playing music as long as your able to 😅
