I just got a Siglent SDS 1102CML for my 60th in September, it's very good and is ideal for me, but wow, the Rigol looks very, very impressive. Looking forward to the full review. Thank you. Kind Regards Bob

Thumbs up for this nice first impressions video. It certainly is an amazing scope for its money. Other manufactures really need to step up their lower-end game after this one, I think.

Thanks and I look forward to your future review! The next time I'm in the US I'll definitely pick one of these up. Terrific value in a hobbiest scope. You need to change that fan! Why do manufacturers insist on loud fans? I'll pay $5 more for a silent fan.

Very interesting. I also have a Rigol 1052 and thinking about updating to one of these new. They really look very good and I believe Rigol does a descent interface also without too many bugs. What really annoys me though is those software limitations. I think that if you have the hardware then you should be able to use it. Really looking forward to a more in depth review and your conclusions over this scope.

gamingSlasher Thank you, hehe I already found a bug or two :) One was annoying because the "Parameter Limited" message somehow got stuck on the screen so I had to reboot :) Only happened once though. I agree that it's annoying you can't use everything that's in there if you do not pay, but on the other hand I think that is what allows them to sell the base unit so cheap. just guessing though :P

Hi, 6 years down the line, would you recommend buying this piece of equipment from quality perspective. This fits my budget and the requirements. 100MHz, 4 channel with LA.

How much does it cost after the trail?

So you need to pay the licence after 36 hours to use the decoder?

If you can, always put the price on the description. Or at least where you bought it from. For this and the laser cutter, it was an information I wanted to know. Thanks!

EcProjects Was your decision to purchase this camera because of your youtube channel? I was thinking of doing some engineering videos, but not if it would take years to payback the cost of the camera with the ad revenue. What do you think of the Canon HF R52? That's more within my budget.

trahim2 Yes that was my main reason for buying it, I didn't like the (lack of) consistency on my Sony HDR CX250. I can only speak for myself, but don't expect much in terms of revenue :) I guess I can reveal that it haven't payed for the Sony yet - when taxes are payed and all. Never tried the Canon HF R52, but I think the videos on KZread look decent at first glance for the price..

mercotui Yeah, pretty much all the manufactures do this these days.. Only the logic analyzer and the function gen require extra hardware. But the base model is very cheap. So I kinda like the idea - would have been nicer if they just gave it all for free of course :) but I guess they need the extra money :)
