Never used a rigid vac, I have three shop vacs. The big one where I wish I’d got the smaller one because it’s so heavy and takes up so much space, I think you should only buy that if you have a cabinet shop and it’s stationary until you empty it. A small shop vac brand ash vac with the metal can. It’s kinda junk but it was cheap. And the armor all shop vac brand that’s really portable for vacuuming cars. It’s better than the ash vac but could be smaller, years after I bought it I seen a smaller version for sale. I love my rigid 12v tire inflator that a dude borrowed earlier this year and hasn’t bothered to bring it back yet, that’s the first rigid thing I ever owned and was give to me on Xmas. I was mind blown because I had the feeling rigid was cheap and it worked so great. My shop vacs never get much use so you have to figure how much something costs, how much use it’s had, and how old it is. If you spend a couple hundred dollars for daily use over 3 or 4 years and it still works but just a little ragged, I’d say you got your money out of it. And you can rig it with screws or adhesive and use it for who knows how long. Sometimes I give things like that away to someone who appreciates it and buy a new one because I’m sick of it.

Hey thanks man! That's some great feedback on these shop vacs! Didn't have much reference to draw from for this review since this is the only one we've had
