    This was my husband's and my song. We met JULY 4th, 1965 and remained in love until his death in August 2000. One day he'll drive his corvette from heaven to pick me like all the other times in our lives together. I miss him everyday.

    This song was my husband's and my song . He died in Vietnam November 21, 1967, 19 days before he was to come home and meet our 11 month old daughter. Still love you, Norm and miss you after all of these years...

    Ann Karima my uncle spent the entire 1967 in Vietnam and was wounded, not seriously but indeed permenantly. he described a hellish time to me, i would get frightened just hearing him talk about it. he only came home alive thru sheer luck. it was a murderous situation.

    Ann Karima well done norm .you won the war .communism lost. we got a bloody nose but history will see you as a hero amongst men .some people still believe Vietnam was lost .bollocks usa kicked ass and it was the beginning of the end of the cold war. strategically flawed and miss managed but men like norm sacrificed his life so that democracy will flourish. all the best from English allies. isis radical islam will get knocked out as well. all the best from the british infantry.thanks to all veterans.god bless .believe. he can hear your thoughts.of that im sure.believe.

    I have always ADORED The Righteous Brothers. They were way before my time, but so unparalleled. Their pure talent and harmonies create magic. And this is before mixing mics! Their vocals are legendary! My only BIG concern is...why did they make them stand on such tiny tables? People fall off of giant stages, and these poor guys get a coffee table! My loves all my life!

    I remember this song as a young teenager. Little did I know that I would be the last of the draftees for the Vietnam War. Best song about war and Vietnam- Dixie Chicks Travelin' Soldier. Reminds me of my neighbor and older friend who died in Vietnam in 1970. I could have written the pilot of The Wonder Years. So sad. Who knows what those 57,000 + could have done had they not die for nothing.

  • @manospetridis1935

    @manospetridis1935

    They didn't die for nothing and i didn't serve 81/2 years of my entire youthin the navy during the Vietnam War for nothing either. Look up what the commies did to people in countries like Russia and its evil empire. also look at what commies did in the "Killing fields" of Cambodia, fully supported by China! And that doesn't even include countries around the world that the deadly cancer called communism tried to convert. The information is there, even though our own news media, especially that socialist camp called PBS does very tto expose the horrors.

    Manos Petridis + Exactly !! But i think he meant because we left, and the Vietnamese fell. The commie filth won the propaganda war within the US. And it's true, the ultra liberals are now bringing the US down, deliberately. Deuteronomy 28 and Leviticus 23, slowly.

    On this day in 1966 {May 26th} the Righteous Brothers performed "(You're My) Soul and Inspiration"* on the Dick Clark produced ABC-TV network weekday-afternoon program 'Where The Action Is'... At the time the song was at #33 on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; seven weeks earlier it had peaked at #1 {for 3 weeks} and it spent 13 weeks on the Top 100... And on April 25th, 1966 it peaked at #2 {for 1 week} on the Canadian RPM Weekly Singles chart, the week it was at #2, the #1 record for that week was "Good Lovin'" by The Young Rascals... Between 1963 and 1990 the 'not for real' brothers had twenty-three songs on the Hot Top 100 chart; six made the Top 10 with two reaching #1, their other #1 record was "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" for 2 weeks on January 31st, 1965... *The B-side of "Soul & Inspiration" was titled "B-Side Blues", and of course it's available on You Tube...

    Still rips my heart out, half a century later. I had dated this girl a few times, and she broke up with me. When she told me she didn't want to see me anymore, I felt all the life drain out of me. I flunked out all my subjects that quarter. Years later, she would marry a man who beat her, eventually killing her. I still felt bad.

    Do not, I repeat, DO NOT beat a dead horse. It's extremely difficult to get yourself out of the friend zone, and if she's truly attracted to douchebags, and you aren't one, it's going to eat you up alive to have to deal with it. Learn how to spot women who ARE attracted to you; Leil Lowndes 'Undercover Sex Signals' is a short book which includes pics of female body language that indicates she is interested in you. 'How to make anyone fall in love with you' by the same author, will teach you why some people just seem naturally charming, and how you can learn to become that way, too. I read both books over and over, and they changed my life. If you want to drive yourself nuts, you CAN become this charming type of person, but she still will not love you just because of that. You have to do all kinds of things to get her to want you, and you probably won't be able to keep it up forever. Move on. There are millions of wonderful, beautiful women out there. Don't waste your life pursuing one that isn't already interested in you. I've been there.....and wasted years of my life because of it. Men do it all the time. Don't be one of them. Just learn how to spot the women who are already interested in you, and pick one of those. If you don't like the ones you're seeing? Change the venue. Go somewhere else. For example, if you don't see anyone you like at school, try at work. And you'll learn to notice them everywhere; on the street, while grocery shopping, on the train, etc.. Yes, it will take some effort on your part to read this stuff and learn. But it doesn't take a genius to do it, and no fancy pick up lines needed, no manipulative tricks. When you think you see a woman who's interested, you just go over and say hello. Then talk about any current event. Learn to ask the right questions to get her talking; women love to talk about themselves, because most men never give them the chance. I know. I've done all this. It works. Good luck.
