Right-Wing Moron Thinks American Revolution Was Too Woke

Daily Wire pundit Michael Knowles talks about how he thinks Americans are as conservative today as they were in the year 2012 and, while that's a good start because of how much the country has swung to the left, it isn't enough. Knowles: "I want our civilization to be as socially conservative as we were in 1220...before all the modern ideology started corroding our civilization."

I love how pride is only a deadly sin when it pertains to a subject conservatives feel uncomfortable about. Its never a sin when it comes to america, the bible, guns, or their sexuality.

The weird thing about his argument is that it's self-defeating. The reason we reference the 1220s or the 1880s as a different era is because times have changed since then. And they changed because they all reached a point where enough people started to say, "I bet things could be better than this." History, as an arc, is just the story of conservatives losing.

The only people who think that people can be "turned gay" are the people who grew up lusting for people of the same sex in school and viewed that whole lustful experience as a "test of their faith." They do not see it as their sexuality making itself known... They feel it's a test of their faith.. If they can beat the urges, they'll go to heaven. Perfect example of this is Steven Crowder who has openly admitted to having his "battle" with bisexuality in college.... And now he's an adult 30 something guy who teabags his buddies and colleagues and shows them his dick and stuff.. You know, normal straight guy behavior for sure..??? Totally won that battle with bisexuality FOR SURE.... 100% won. VICTORIOUS! Guy is so straight, SO straight.. He's a guy who thinks that you can be turned gay.. Because in his experience, without the shame of christianity, he would be prancing around in gay pride parades happy as hell today... Instead he had to get into a loveless relationship with a woman who he then abused for years... Just going through the motions of a straight relationship because he was shamed out of accepting he's gay or bi... Miserable man turned bitter, blamed his wife for not being wifely enough.. I mean if she was wifely enough, maybe he'd be happy? (He wouldn't, dude is gay as fuck.) And he wants that shame for others.. Because he thinks he prevailed, and he wants other boys to prevail and vanquish the urges through doubling down on faith and shame... It's sickening that he doesn't just accept that he thirsts for men.. Instead he's just outing himself as bi/gay every time he talks about how people can be turned gay by the "gay agenda...." Straight people can't be turned gay... Shame-stricken gay people who pretend to be straight can be released from their shame by moving away from the people who shame them.. Such as going to college and finding people who won't tell them they're going to hell if they are attracted to the same sex. Kid comes home from college, tells his parents he's gay, parents lose their mind and blame college.... Kid comes home from high school, tells his parents he's gay, parents blame the school system... These types of christian parents are not straight... Because as I say a million times.. Straight kids don't turn gay... And straight people wouldn't assume that anyone can be "turned gay" because it makes no damn sense... Matt Walsh is literally home schooling his kids to keep them straight.... Matt Walsh is hella gay and extremely ashamed, particularly because he's also a pedophile. Only reason he has a wife is that she's the only way he'd get easy access to kids. Made them himself, then kept them from the world... We got ourselves another Josef Fritzl on our hands with that guy, and he's peddling morality as if he's got any. Ben Shapiro can't make his wife wet... Cause how the hell could he? Dude's limp as a noodle cause he's straddling a woman.. The last thing he wants in life is to be close to women. Anyways.. No one would think "turning gay" makes sense unless they're attracted to the same sex. It makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE for a straight person to believe that straight dudes are running a gauntlet of cocks while horny as all hell. There's a higher chance of me being turned into a vampire by the catholic church than me turning gay.. Cause I'm straight.. Conservatives will never understand that they're outing themselves with this line of reasoning... I'm starting to think that there are FAR more gay conservatives than there are gay liberals. They're just "kept in check" by delusions and shame. No wonder there are so many loveless marriages on the right... And lets be honest, the conservative incel movement are incels because A: They can't have same sex relationships that they crave.. And B: 50% of them are lusting for minors. They're alone because their attraction is literally illegal. Nothing but self-outing on the right these days.

Yep. These Refuklicans and KKKonservates are just hateful and will take anything they can target with their hate. The only time I'm concerned about other people's sexuality is when they _force_ it on me. I'm a straight dude, but I'll still reject a woman's advances if I'm not interested and it's forced on me, so for me, it's not really about what orientation the other person has. If I'm not involved in the action, I don't really care whom other people choose to love or associate with - well, so long as it's all consensual. Live and let live!

50 years ago, when I was a happy hippie kid and the summer was full of the Watergate hearings and the Wounded Knee uprising was finally burying John Wayne, etc, etc, we were so optimistic. We had no inkling that in just a few years the Reagan "revolution" would ignite a backlash against all things Progressive, or that when we were old men and women Nazism would be resurgent...in America. Or that our kids would be depressed, apathetic and frightened of being gunned down at school. I am so sick of these stupid Nazis saying stupid Nazi shit to stupid people who eat it all up. Must be heatbreaking to see America becoming what it is today. A hypercapitalistic police state hellscape, with the same old problems but far more prominent. The country become 100x richer but the people much poorer. The entire society is held hostage by corporations. Realistically, I don't see a way for a government to take back power from corporations. You have removed all checks and balances to control capital acumulation. I'm glad you made this comment. It never clicked with me until you did. I think pride verges on being a homophone or "homograph" at this point. Like bow. Bow can mean to bend the body down to show deference, or it can be a tree limb or device to shoot an arrow. All are somewhat logically related, but have critical differences in meaning. Close can mean to shut a door or that two objects are in proximity. "The door is close to being closed" 😡 It's infuriating, and obviously nobody means "pride" as in a feeling of superiority. It's probably not a true homograph at this point, but it is a word with multiple implications.

blaming liberalism for the societal failures created by capitalism has always been a cornerstone of fascist rhetoric. They love that capitalism is social darwinism; the "meritocracy" is supposed to validate their sense of superiority by making them rich and rightfully placing them on top of the social hierarchy. But they can't reconcile that belief with the reality of their own social and economic failures, so there must be a cultural scapegoat to blame who has corrupted their glorious capitalist society and weaponized it against them.

The bourgeois revolutions were indeed progressive! Landowners don't seem like a progressive class to us nowadays (because the only class that can achieve socialism is the proletariat) but they once were! and had they not come along, we might still be living in feudalism, a far more abject and unfree existence! The AmRev had a lot of problematic aspects, but every important historical movement has. The difference is that the bourgeois revolutions laid the historical groundwork for the potential for socialism. Socialism is about moving beyond capitalism, not regressing behind it and declaring any sort of system that is "anti-bourgeois" as good. That is antinomical thinking, not dialectical thinking.

Also, the ancient Roman Republic was founded by aristocrats ousting the king. In 1648 in France, the event called the Fronde was a failed parliament revolt against the king (historically speaking, parliaments were reserved for the aristocratic class), and the English Civil War in the 1600s was Parliament and Oliver Cromwell vs King Charles 1st, which the Cromwell won and established a republic and commonwealth, similar to how the patricians led by George Washington established the U.S. republic in the American "Revolution". The French Revolution and also the Russian communist revolution were both led by the commoners class (in France) and peasants (in Russia).

It did include some clauses about all free men being equal before the law, but a large portion of the population was serfs and not applicable for that at the time.
