Right Place at the Right Time (Spring Walleye Fishing)
I always look forward to walleye fishing at the end of a long Canadian winter. Fishing can begin as early as February when the ice starts to melt and goes all the way to March 31 when walleye spring fishing comes to a close in my area. It is a bit of a gamble to fish in spring. Some years fishing starts to be good early if the winter is mild and in some other years it is the opposite. I just have to keep showing up as often as I can hoping to be in the right place at the right time.

Nice catch. What’s your setup? Line and leader. Looks like you got braided main line with flouro leader.

The rod is a Medium-Light Power St-Croix Eyecon Spinning rod. The line you guess it is braided 10lb test and the leader is 8lb Fluocarbon
