I live in Louisiana. That being said, not many people here follow the 10 commandments. Its a bit hypocritical when I've had preachers tell me we can't keep all of them. It will open the door for Islam and other religions.

I know how to fix this. Abolish the federal education department and give it BACK to the state

The heritage foundation seeks to do just that but remember, Yah's Kingdom is not of this world. What happens when we yoke ourselves to a government that willingly sins?

I definitely have mixed emotions. Is this the beginning for a push for the National Sunday Law? Everyone should know the Ten Commandments but I feel ill about this.

@@bariettaperez I looked at and it is the Biblical Ten. You have to remember that the non Adventist evangelical Protestants are the biggest pushers. But who's to say, like you said, who's 10 Commandments will they end up using Nation and world wide; God's or the Beast?

This is a severe overstep, one that I hope is struck down as unconstitutional as soon as possible.

For kids to learn last 6 or 5…. Important to uphold civil law. The first 4 are good to know but are a personal decision.

The founders had a primer Bible in all the schools and they said when you take the Bible out of the schools you should shut down the schools

The question we need to ask is “ What is their intention” enforcing the 10 Commandments? There is always an “Agenda” to something when “Man” enforces things. We as Christians follow all 10 Commandments including the Seventh Day Sabbath because we love our God.

This state is at the bottom of every category. Maybe these politicians should focus on getting their state out of poverty.

We absolutely need the ten commandments in schools. If this was in Saudi Arabia I would understand but this is a Christian country!

The Ten Commandments is so Old Testament. There are two more up-to-date commandments given by Jesus: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your mind, and all your strength. And the other like it, love your neighbor as yourself. Given how badly we Americans fail at the second great commandment, it seems to me that those commandments should be mandated for our children's parents to impart to the kids at home. Teachers have enough tasks to accomplish already. This nonsense is just TOO MUCH!

It brings back the Truth that there is a God we are accountable to. We removed them and look at our country now. Is putting them back in classrooms going to hurt us? That seems dumb to say it would. Men can corrupt the word of God but God's words don't come back to Him void. I don't see an eternal problem with doing this.
