Tucked in right elbow and slowing down my back swing and initial down swing. I’ve add these two insights from Saguto to other insights that has improved my game by 7 stokes. The other two improvements before these two were ,keeping my weight on my left leg and keeping my right arm straight. Grateful for your approach to golf.

Tom, another gem. Recently realized this move is the key to a great takeaway and simple downswing. I am now compressing irons instead of sweeping them or flipping them. The right elbow tuck and back of the elbow facing out (like giving blood), forces me to have a full shoulder turn and the down swing is as I simple as unloading right back down the takeaway path through your right shoulder. It's hard for the arms to disconnect from the body when you're tucking one of them into your body on takeaway. I really feel my right hand and full body powering through the ball then ground with this move. Like skipping a pebble.

I showed my kid this video and she was like wow that’s so simple. She just started playing golf for school last year. We went to the range and she went from slicing out of the range onto the first hole to hitting straight shots after doing this for about 15 minutes. I told her watching your videos have helped to get me to go from shooting 80s, to 70s. Best round I had prior to this was 83. Few bad shots from consistently being in the 70s, and now, last 5 rounds I’ve played highest score was 78, lowest 75. You just out there doing the lord’s work and we appreciate you!! It is hard to overstate the magic of that tucked in elbow. I struggled with low point consistency for years and in a matter of days or weeks, (most) of it went away....and I added what felt like effortless extra yardage. Added tip....try wearing a down vest at the range. At least for me, wearing it seemed to add a sense of connection to my body and I had more crispy iron shots than ever before. Thanks Tom for the great tips over the years.

This has completely changed my game (especially with irons and wedges). I had been keeping the lead arm straight. I shortened my backswing. I kept the trailing elbow tucked. All that and I was STILL getting inconsistent contact. Then I remembered this video and rewatched it. Holy cow. Crispy KFC. SOOO much more consistency, which leads to more confidence. Straighter shots, even a little draw now, with a good apex. Thanks Tom!!

I feel like I'm making real progress with my swing after watching a few of your older videos about shortening the backswing. This video only compounds on that information. I was hooking or pushing and getting the occasional decent draw. Recorded myself and my swing was way overcooked, I would completely break down at transition. Elbow flying out, lead arm breaking down, hands fighting to get the face square and on path at contact. Shortened my backswing like you suggested, keep that right elbow locked to my ribs and that made me get closer to the ball and the contact is night and day when it comes together! Just have to groove this new simple swing in!

So many people have tried to give me swing advice, and most of the time, it's way too technical or physically complicated. I'm very glad to know that this concept is performing well for you, too! Thanks for your support in sharing your success with it and keep up the great work! Tom PS: By the way, I would be remiss if I didn't mention that a significant percentage of my online school members are in their 60's, 70's, and 80's - i.e.: a smorgasbord of chronic ailments, physical limitations, back/shoulder/knee/hip pain, arthritis, and joint replacements - and they are overwhelmingly elated to experience the dramatic pain-free game improvement, seemingly effortless power, and resulting enjoyment that this swing affords them. It all begins with a proper setup which provides for a free-flowing motion. Upon that good foundation a repeatable swing which produces consistently crispy impact can be built. Have you looked into the comprehensive, sequential learning platform of the online school yet? That's where - among many other courses and lessons covering various aspects of the game - you will find very detailed instruction and drills that take you through the entire swing step-by-step, position-by-position from setup to finish. Thousands of men and women from across the globe - including many accomplished, low-handicap, competitive players and spanning all age ranges from junior to super-senior - are now enjoying the best golf of their lives as a result and their unsolicited testimonials tell the story quite well: saguto.golf/p/sagutogolfreviews. At just $14.99/month or $149.99 per year the value in terms of what you get for that price point is beyond comprehension, and based on proven results it represents by far the best golf instruction deal on the planet. And if you'd like to first "dip a toe in the water" prior to diving into the school, then here is a link to my FREE mini course “The Top 3 Things You Need to Be a Great Ball Striker”: go.saguto.golf/ That is where you can learn some key aspects of the swing system I teach in a more structured manner. You don't need the flexibility of a Romanian gymnast - or even of this far less pliable golf instructor - to execute this swing, experience great ball striking, and reclaim - or even exceed - yardages from years past. I hope you'll give the school some thought.

This is from a month ago, but i just wanna say i started golfing about 4 weeks ago, and was struggling with my irons and my drives. Ive been taking notes and trying everything he is saying, and slowly but surely everything is finally starting to click it feels. Just recently i laced the ball about 180 yards with my 7 iron and stopped about 10 feet short of the cup. It felt great, and my buddy i was with noted i finally had my right arm tucked in and drove my right shoulder down, and dug into the swing instead of the common issue of my shoulders coming up causing me to skull the ball. It feels great, and i cant wait to see where this takes me, ive already shaved about 20 strokes off my game with these tips.

That is *OUTSTANDING,* Jack!! You didn't just shoot your age; you obliterated it!! 💪💪 My lesson series on this "trail arm magic" has helped countless golfers across the globe to overcome wide variety of issues and experience great ball striking. I'm very glad to know that this concept is performing well for you, too! Thanks for sharing your success with it and keep up the great work!

I subscribe and pay for online instruction and with some success on all but will be cancelling them and sticking with this guy. Love the simple, easy to grasp dictation and throwing in some humour takes all the pressure of flushing that next shot. Another thing I notice, which is obvious if you follow this gent…he takes the time to review and answer tons of comments from his viewers. It’s almost like being right there with him and it’s helped shave 5 strokes of my score.

I’ve been watching your videos lately and they are helping. I played collegiate golf 20 plus years ago. I coach golf now in high school. Your tips got me hitting lower more penetrating balls after just one range session. Could have used you back in college. One thing that really helped was keeping my left arm close to my body on my back swing. I had gotten away from that and was hitting the ball really high. Thanks again - coach Mitchler. I’ll send these tips on to my students.

I found this move as a by-product of not cupping, but keeping straight, even bowing, my lead wrist through the swing. First I noticed how that really caused my trail wrist to cup through the swing, which in turn caused my trail arm to connect to my chest. Game changer

Nicely done, and I'm glad you enjoyed this lesson! Indeed, there are so many interdependent elements of the golf swing. It truly is a sequential orchestration. This is actually magic… was struggling with inconsistent iron shots with to many swing thoughts standing over the ball.. Tried to focus on a 60-40 weight on the front foot and keeping that elbow in and wow I’m stunned how much better I was hitting my irons. Tried the same with the driver (I was a 50 yard slicer) and hitting it much better, still have a bit of a fade on the driver have to tweak something but all around great tip and video
