Dons Music City, in Greensboro. I knew his cousin Johnny, also a fodera player, and I used to see him play every weekend at the Rib Shack. One day Victor was in the music shop with Johnny when I came by. Johnny introduced me and long story short victor played "you cant hold no groove" on my trashy washburn bass. I swore I could never sound like Vic with that bass, but there I was watching Vic sound like Vic on my trashy bass and I realized/cemented in my head "TONE IS ALL IN YOUR HANDS"..... I am very thankful for that day for many reasons.

@hopelesstrail I bought a snapjack cable a couple years ago, it's not clear like that it's just a regular one with a black cord and then the snapjack plugs. My friends have stepped on it, kicked it, walked on it, and last night, spilled chinese food on it which I quickly cleaned off. It's the only cable I own and it has never let me down. It's a 25-footer and it was $40, so if you play in a band or you like to gig solo, I definitely reccomend it above all other options.

I love that the Wootens know that less is more. I play the drums among other instruments, but I always try to bring the least amount of gear to every gig, especially when I am playing with talented musicians. I don't need to fill all the spaces with tricks and gadgets. Every guitar player I play with wants to bring all their shit to every gig, no matter how small the room, or stage. It is my biggest peeve against most musicians. Even Reggie said, I like this guitar because it's easy to travel with. Victor said, I don't need all the extra stuff when I play with my brothers. This is clean, magic in it's purest form. I play regularly with a guitarist who will bring everything to acoustic gigs. His rig takes more time and space than just my drums alone. Sometimes I am only playing brushes on a snare and a hat and he gets pissed that I didn't bring the whole kit but we might be in a coffee house where being more than acoustic is just obnoxious. He will bring portable everything, set up a chain of pedals, including a loop that never works when playing live with 4 other musicians but he insists it's perfect for the gigs. Not too mention he starts loud and only gets louder every time we play. He is your typical Phacking Guitarists. I need to make him watch this video
