Thanks Poke. If you have a working dualsense I would get a pro controller over the new "Cosmic" Sony colors, they aren't the sexiest thing in the world. The black and red are pretty nice though

did you ever find thumbstick grips for it?

This controller actually has my favorite shape for ergonomics. My hands dont cramp at all when holding it while resting middle fingers on the triggers - as compared to many other controllers (Official xbox one, series x, razer wolverine v2, wolverine tournament to name a few)

How are the back buttons when you hold the controller this way? I also use my middle fingers on the triggers and find it difficult to press the back buttons of a Razer Wolverine TE. My ring fingers are by far my least used fingers and takes the most "strain" to press buttons/keys with lol.

Hi, my favorite too, but waht différence with no RIg and Rig version, i buy it on amazon yesterday received, work very very good ( just afraid rear button and Lb RB broke easliy with somes weeks or month). But i have no RIG mention on box and pad, just Nacon.

Got it for over a year now, daily gamer (4hours a day) .. It is still 100% good, no problems at all😁 Also put in some custom taller thumbsticks for a original controller and it fits👌 Also, dont wanna sound like a nerd but i do notice input lag when i now use a original controller. Can certainly recomend it.👌

I really like the new studio setup!

Just recrived my Nacon RIG Revolution X Pro controller. Been using Xbox elite 2 for over a 1.5 years but wanted to try the Nacon, WOW, it's pretty awesome controller. Regarding trigger stops, seems when you set it up for FPS it's fast. All of the buttons have a strong and tackle feeling. Very nice. Played for a few hours and got use to it and the sticks are very precise and responsive compared to xbox controller. I'm very happy so far and happy to have made this purchase. Highly recommend this controller and make sure its the "RIG" version. For $100 and once you get use to it, it competes with the $200+ brands. Very comfortable.

Hey dude.... got an Elite Series 2 Core... for now its my 2nd cause the first have problems by using the A Button... the 2nd seems to have the same issue.... but still testing. Are the "Paddles" good to use? And what are the Differences between the RIG and the Nacon Revolution X?

@@bytaal7592 someone online said that the RIG is the latest version of the Nacon Revolution X. NOTE, its the Xbox full size controller replacement. It may have the Hall Effects sticks but not 100% but it's really accurate and just really like it very much once you get use to it

@@nickm8651 It's the same controller. The name is probably different because of distribution to a different region, just like with phones. The premiere of the phone is in China, and the same phone will be launched in Europe in a few months, only under a different name. There is only 1 "Revolution X Pro" controller on the nacon site. There is no new RIG version.

I would like to see a video between nacon revolution x pro vs razer wolverine v2 chroma or nacon revolution x pro vs razer wolverine ultimate.

Good video!! Are the bumpers(R1/L1) the same as the shitty ones on the nacom unlimited revolution pro controller?? I love the nacom unlimited revolution controller, but the bumpers stop working cause the omron switches are cheap.

At 9:05, you made a mistake by saying it’s the only controller you’ve “ever reviewed with Dolby Atmos” You reviewed the Victrix Gambit not too long ago and that too, has Dolby Atmos built in. Just to note! Great video though

Been looking at this after being disappointed and returning the scuf controller..my question is can I map the firing triggers to the bottom button's? (L2 L1)? Division 2 is my main and think that would help immensely! If not atleast you can adjust the dead zone.. everyone goes on about trigger stop but as long as you can set the dead zone then I'm good..the only thing good about the trigger stop over dead zone adjustment is the return travel of the trigger..which eats up firing time, especially if your in the DZ with toxic players that still haven't gotten over going rouge and killing ppl just for no reason.

Before you get, I had about 2 weeks ago, I play apex legends a lot so the amount of crouch spamming in game is madness but here's my review. Controller is amazing bar the fact that the linear auto setting disregards in game settings so if you are a hardcore FPS player you'll have to get used to a more raw feeling when aiming, everything else I was so happy with until a week and a bit in the back right button (used for crouch) became let's say Loose and feeling weak, about 2 days after if holding to stay behind cover it would make you stand up (button wouldn't actually register being held) the other two on buttons right at the bottom I literally never ever used as it felt so unnatural to press them... But I might have just had a faulty one. If issue never occured it was a 7 out of 10 the minus 3 purely because I have thousands of hours game time on apex and this controller made me aim like I was just starting out but tbf I could tell once I got used to it you'd absolutely beam. I've gone back to the fusion pro 2 this time and it's so cheap and cheerful even with stick drift I love it 🤣🤣 only until elite series 2 comes back in stock tho 😉

@@admanwhitmer if you have a soldering iron you can replace them. I did not do it cause i found the Wolverine Chroma V2 RGB. I use it now for 3 months and i love the controller. At first i thought the 4 back buttons would not be reachable by 4 fingers but i can reach them very well. My hand is round about 17cm long. My fingers round about 6cm +/- 2cm. And all other buttons are mechanical like mouse buttons. Very nice. But i can not tell how long this controller will be functional.

So Kevin, now that we have another great premium controller in the 100$ range, what is your recommendation? Still Vitrix Gambit, or does this take the cake?

You didn't test the metal stick angle adjustment rings. I noticed because I am trying to figure out how to use them. There needs to be a dead zone on the outside edge of the movable area of the sticks and I can't find a way to do that. :(

Have you done a video testing the latency/polling rate of the Elite 2 controller? Would be cool to see a comparison of speeds between all the different controllers...

1) dolby atmos support is not done with some chip or circuit. it is a license for software simulation of dolby atmos via your pc's cpu. 2) stick drift is not caused by keeping your sticks tilted. it is caused by constant movement, as the potentiometers keeps rubbing their parts.l

I’m watching your videos again to find out what controller I should get to play Diablo 4. I have quite a lot already. But I’m on this one the gamesir g7 or the razer wolverine v2 chroma. Do u have a suggestion? Only thing I’m messed up about is trigger locks. It has it on the razer but the back buttons is not the best position but the other two controllers don’t have trigger locks 🤦🏼‍♂️

you should really open them up to check if it has hall effect thumbsticks and triggers.

I liked this controller very much but after 3 months playing and using the back buttons for apex the pressure contact of them are buggy. The buttons clicked good but my input only get recognized when im press very hard. Sometimes its even then not recognize. Other parts work very well but without the back buttons this controller is useless for me. I disassembled the controller and its sad that they used cheap switchs for the back buttons. Maybe you could disassemble the controllers that you are reviewing or embedd photos or videos of the pcb buttons and so on. So you can also review if the buttons will work a long time or are cheap trash. That would be amazing!

I've used 3 of these controllers all have the same issue you described straight out of the box, still usable but makes using the back buttons for anything other than a quick press annoying.

Hey did you actually test any KontrolFreeks on this controller? The guide on the KF website doesn't list every controller and quite often you can still find one that fits if the controller isn't on the list (e.g. SCUF Reflex). I'd love to know if Xbox or PS4/5 KFs could fit. Also what was the default polling rate?

picked this bad boy up this week, like it so far (for thumb sticks - i just went with generic slip on style to add some height) only issue i have been having is the the controller seems to go to a sort of sleep when I alt-tab between different applications - i have it plugged into usb hub to, not sure if that makes a difference (Steam/PC)

Ok so I recently started playing GTA:V again on PC .... & I quickly found out my Astro C40 does NOT play nice with steam. So I was gonna take your recommendation to get the Flydigi Vader wireless but saw the Vader Pro wireless is out now. Q please Have u tested the polling rate on low or high sensitivity There is two options for the sensitivity on this controller I remembered the old nacon if i choose low sensitivity. The input lag is too hogh

That’s a really hard question to answer because they both have some features that I really like, however overall I do prefer this controller mainly because I like the rear buttons more, and in my opinion that is the most important feature of a pro controller, however this doesn’t have trigger stops which sucks, and the included thumbsticks are slippery

Hey Bro, still not shure what controller I should go for.... I got my 2nd XBox Elite Series 2 Core a day before... but still got some issues with the A-Button.... Not working that fine in some games as I need it. I´m still testing, but i´m looking around what controller I should go for. Should be not more expensive than a Xbox Elite Series 2 Core - I dont mind anylonger if wired or wireles... It just should work. What controller would you go for, when you need at least min 2 paddles in die back? ;)

Good review thanks for uploading! This video was one of the reason I ended up getting one, very good controller. However there is a Critical bug that basicly can't be used at all if you use Wired Headset via Controllers AUX connector. It disconnects and controller needs to be "Rebooted" by unplugging and replug. The defect is easy to repeat. Firmware update is needed and not sure if there is one yet available? Do you have any info regarding this issue? I have contacted Nacon support but so far isn't looking very promising. Only got copypaste nonsense reply telling me how to use App. I replied them with video how can't update firmware. Nothing happens when press "Update Controller" from App, on Xbox nor wiht PC. So either there isn't new FW avaiable, or the Apps update function is broken.Luckily I'm using mostly Wireless Headset and in that case unit never freeze. It only happens when Wired Headset is connected and used.

just want to see a review on your newer xbox elite series 2. just got my new one, and well only thing i noticed different is the box has a couple changes. but thus far controller feels good, face buttons do not stick as they did on my last 2 straight out of their boxes. the new controller doesnt seem to have bumper issues but thats what im hoping does not happen. so we will wait and see.

Yeah I have no tangible proof (just word of mouth in the controller community) that the newer batches of Elite Series 2 controllers are held to a higher standard of quality control, I personally have had no issues with mine, which is good because its one of my favorite Xbox controllers hands down.

I know I have reposted this before but I want these controllers to be review, which are flydigi apex series 2, xim nexus, gulikit King Kong pro controller 2 , and nagashock

well thats sad... i am playing only racing games and i searched for good controller with good durability... sadly the triggers arent good enough for racing games... my xbox elite 2 will go back to seller.... hex is not availabe in germany... scuf is too expesnive (as well as hex) and yeah... soooo i have a problem

The SteelSeries Stratus Duo I reviewed did, and I have the GilliKit DonkeyKong "No Drift" controller waiting to be reviewed which uses magnetic thumbsticks (supposedly) we are disassembling in that review.

If you only need two buttons/paddles underneath, sure. The gambit is fast but the rear paddle four button configuration is way too close. The two paddle option it comes with is adequate. Ive had the gambit since it came out and its my daily driver but if u need four back buttons/ paddles i wouldn't recommend it.

The shape reminds me of the s controller from the original Xbox

One thing that is disappointing about the controller (and most xbox controllers) is you can't increase the polling rate. It is hard locked so those drivers that you installed won't do squat. From what I can gather online, only the Victrix Gambit has the fastest polling rate xbox controller to date. That is why the company is proudly touting it as the fastest. If it were possible can you do an in-depth comparison between this controller, Victrix Gambit, Wolverine Ultimate, and maybe the elite controller as reference? Excluding the elite controller I feel those 3 are the best xbox controllers you can get.

It would be nice if more controllers offered the legacy stick layout. The elite series 2 has it but its a broken version of it. Nobody cares about that issue.

I like this controller but I don’t love it I can’t put my finger on it, on paper it’s great the rear button layout is great, it’s just like missing something, adjustable thumb stick heights would help but there’s something else missing idk if that’s just me. It works great but not amazing

@@notkyle9204 I think I know! The controller looks and feels like a toy. The ergonomics are very anti-index-finger. (It’s not the weight of the chord, but in the hands, comfortably the front wants to be pointed at the ground. Feels like, if this was a phone game, I’d have to worry about screen flipping. That said, the r1 and L1 eventually become unusable (or in this case, remmaped IMMEDIATELY) because of the eventual way you’ll be holding it, after time makes you point it at the ground while and ur index’s won’t reach the L n R1. I know they gave you weights in the grips to potentially mitigate….the weight just makes you wanna throw it less… Ps: One amazing thing this controller does have tho, is sticks. If I can put these sticks, on an Elite Series 2…… my lord. I’ve never experienced anything like it. It truly feels like their fluidity, is actually assisting my frame rates. Played CoD MW, and left my 4k120 settings on, and it almost felt like I was playing at 100fos. I went and played the next game on me ES2, and it was frame drop galore. Cause and effect? Maybe not, but shit those sticks feel brilliant.

@@casino9240 yea agreed even with the heaviest weights inside it still feels light and toy like. I also agree the sticks feel great they move around very smooth and have the perfect resistance. The controller has great features but it still feels off it’s like a great controller stuck in the shell of a shitty controller. It has potential like I can see why ppl like it but again I don’t love it. I can also see concern in quality issues it doesn’t feel sturdy and the way you change the thumb grips make it seem prone to a short life span, I guess time will tell for mine. Hopefully they come out with a version two and get it perfect

But wait, the Victrix controller has Dolby Atmos support as well out of the box. And you’ve covered that before.

Yeah controller looks like a nice alternative to a elite series 2. But I’ve been debating about getting a PlayStation controller because I keep hearing that Xbox controllers can’t over clock. Like you can but it’s not actually doing anything

I honestly don’t know what to believe now.. because now I’m seeing this about the series x controller- “Upon executing the process, it can drop the latency of Xbox controller from 11.1-millisecond average to a whopping 3.7 millisecond. In our preliminary test, we found that the controller of the Xbox Series X can be overclocked to an 8000 polling rate. The initial rate for an Xbox Series X controller is 250.” (Techtastes)

Got one for £36 from eBay brand new while they retail about £80-£100 🙂

Two notes: 1) You seem to use Input Delay, Response Time, and Polling Rate interchangeably. The test your performing is only testing Polling Rate, which is just how frequently the controller sends new data to the PC. While this number being low contributes to a lower Input Delay, it doesn't necessarily mean a controller has low input delay. The controller could take 60ms (exaggeration) to process your inputs, for example. An analogy to make it more clear: You check your mail box once a day for a package. One day the package isn't there and the next day it is there, that doesn't mean the total shipping delay is 1 day. With your polling rate program you're effectively measuring the time between each check of the mailbox (the RATE at which you POLL the mailbox). The total shipping delay includes the time it takes for the warehouse to pack your order and USPS to deliver it. Likewise the Input delay includes the time it takes the controller to process your button press and send it to the PC. The only real way to test input delay properly on the controllers would require you to take them apart to attach an LED to the button, have a 360hz display, and a high framerate camera. You can look at other youtubers like Battle(non)sense to get an idea on this setup. You basically record you pressing the button and the screen in the same shot. The time between the LED turning on (the moment your press actually actuated the button) and the screen updating is the input delay of the full setup. It includes the delay of the computer and screen, but its the closest you can get and since those should be consistent, you can compare your results between controllers. 2) Dolby Atmos for Headphones is different from Dolby Atmos, and is basically all software. A Dolby Atmos headset or controller just means they paid the licensing fee to Dolby.

Don't really know what you mean by the last sentence, the controller itself has its own plug-in for sound, but it's a more exaggerated version of Dolby Atmos than from what I'm getting from my computer. Plugging in the controller allowed me to get Dolby Atmos for free, but since getting it for free I have been using my laptop's take on the software over my controller, because the sound is much more natural. When plugging into the controller, the software is making footsteps 3 feet from me sound like they are 9 feet from me. It's an almost comical difference, and at first I believed the controller's take on the software was far superior (greater and more noticeable depth) but in-game it is clearly misplacing sound by a great deal, and making sounds that occur right in my face twice as loud, ear-destroying, and distracting than they are regularly.

@@ethidian3444 Dolby Atmos proper requires a multi-speaker array with hardware support to function. Dolby Atmos for Headphones is completely software based, trying to make the two speakers in your headphones sound more directional. The controller itself isn't doing anything Dolby Atmos related, your computer or Xbox is using the software license the controller bundled in. The controllers output likely has it's own "gamery" tuning being applied, which is why it sounds so different when your running the software through your laptop jack vs the controller jack.

You forgot to mention you can decrease deadzones for games without the option, it seems pretty obvious but not, you can increase deadzones yes, but to decrease/create one you have to make smaller inputs recognise larger inputs on the stick. Make after 0.0 angle recognise higher reactivity than 0.0 ( if that makes sense )

Can you explain with more details? because i have this controller and decreasing the dead zone doesn't effect any game at all.

@@bytaal7592 first question is what game? Games like halo infinite, and cod have their own dead one settings IN GAME so this isn’t necessary. Games like overwatch, destiny, and doom eternal DO NOT, so this method of an “anti dead zone” (as steam refers to it), is absolutely game changing

@@admanwhitmer Any game that doesn't offer dead zone settings I have been changing the dead zone in controller software and testing it in several games and it didn't change in game deadzone, and that's why i want more explanation for this method because maybe i am doing something wrong

It's not stated anywhere... but is it possible that the Rig Nacon Revolution X actually uses electromagnetic Hall effect thumbstick mechanisms? It's the only controller thumbsticks with lower circular motion error-rate (literally 0.0%-0.1%) than the Gulikit KingKong Pro 2 (0.5-0.6%) which DOES claim anti-stick-drift due to its electromagnetic thumbstick mechanisms installed.

Don't know if you've gotten an answer yet but I pulled the controller apart and it uses alps but I've had it for awhile and dropped it a few times and I can still run 0 deadzone with no stick drift

That’s a really hard question to answer because they both have some features that I really like, however overall I do prefer this controller mainly because I like the rear buttons more, and in my opinion that is the most important feature of a pro controller, however this doesn’t have trigger stops which sucks, and the included thumbsticks are slippery

@@GamerHeavenOfficial yea I play nba 2k alot so I need my thumb sticks to be tight I might get the gambit. Plus I like the responsive time u mentioned in the review video

Just bought this remote. I'm so tired of hand cramping dexterity stripping xbox remotes that fall apart in 2 hours or that are broke out of the box like the last three elite 2 I just tried to by. Microsoft is selling refurbished remotes as new. I can even see the sku was removed and replaced with a new sku but it was in the old box. Using a Xbox remote is like putting your shoes on the wrong feet and running.
