Did this psychiatrist ever hear that the best way to deal with narcissists like Harry and Markle is no contact. When you're going through cancer it's important to be around positive people who love and care for you. It would be conducive to healing for Princess Catherine and the King to not be around this toxic duo.

Thank you to the lady for recognising that Catherine should not be called Kate. I do understand that Kate is often said as a term of endearment and friendly familiarity since the press have known her since her early days, but she is Princess of Wales now and deserves enough respect to be called by the name that she prefers and is entitled to, which is Catherine.

But the fact that Diana wanted the Prince ( later King) and the privilege of being a princess..but not the work and responsibility of being a member of the royal family, is spot on.. One of the things Diana often complained about was work, responsibility and hierarchical order in Royal house ... and she didn't understand why, she just couldn't cancel, an Avent, if she wanted to go have afternoon tea with a friend or go shopping.... Not defending your father and sister in-law when they were accused as racists, constantly lying about the RF, thinking of killing his father in one of his military exercise, and smearing & revealing intimate detailed about his father-brother-sister-in law names and putting them at danger (by revealing the palace detailed locations) === these are NOT normal rift, and it is not trivial!! How about Harry never attempted to get to know his wife's family (other than Doria)? I am sorry but Megan was a grown woman in her 30s who despite denying it, had researched the royal family. She thought she was entering a life of luxury and freebies and when she found out she had to do meet and greets for free, she was not longer interested. Her wardrobe, that we pay for cost a fortune in those few months she was with us and lest us not forget the Queen (God rest her soul) had told Megan she could continue as an actress if she wanted to.

I don’t remember her answering anything. Yes, she had studied Diana and the Royal Family so she knew. Her idea was to take off and go back to Hollywood (of which she was never really a part of,) thinking all doors would open for her now that she was married to a prince and had a title. Couldn’t agree more, even in the presence of a cancer diagnosis, not trivial but is nasty and dangerous to generate income.

I agree they are not a young couple. Yes they are young-ish but Harry is turning 40 & Megan is 44? Some speak as if they are 30? They are very much an immature, opportunistic and spiteful couple. Most families would not want them around after how they’ve behaved. It’s not unique to the royals.

Oh Rift is not trivial. Harkles made sure of it.

Misleading headline. Yes, H's complaints certainly are trivial, they always were. He took a molehill and turned it into a mountain for his own reasons. But the resulting rift is absolutely not trivial. It's a real problem, not just for the family but for the constitution and the country. As far as I can remember, Diana did not complain about duty. She complained about the way her husband treated her & the fact he was still involved with Camilla during their marriage. She was not a perfect human being, but she was never a Meghan.

Diana was notorious for, trying to get out of meetings regarding her calendar.. she didn't understand why, she wasn't allowed to cancel events and just go shopping.. she was The princess for god sake, and she often complained about work, and she complained about King Charles work.. and she actually started to see her bodyguard, because her husband was working, and she was bored... Her own words, ..if princess Anne can have a lover, so can I... He got fired... Shortly after Harry was born, she started to see, her boyfriend and did that for 5 years , while still having affairs with other Men... King Charles, only rekindled his friendship with queen Camilla, because he was sad, after finding out that his wife was sleeping around..( he knew he could not get a divorce) after 2 years of friendship their relationship develops into a romance/ affair... Diana was seeing between 7- 10 other Men, while still married to Charles, and Charles had One affair.. If you have to be honest.. would you want to be married to a person that sleeps around, or would you go find love elsewhere...

Why is it always about Harry? In my humble opinion he's the problem, and no the rift is not trivial. Harry and his wife made some serious accusations that I would hardly call trivial.

Public betrayal, lies and the resulting loss of trust and privacy are NOT trivial even with a cancer diagnosis. And the person who did this showing up to show concern ‘now’ when the offended side is ‘down’ or ‘ill’ is suspicious and likely for self-gain. Prince William’s anger or his side of the feud and the family’s lack of trust is not trivial. If we all recall, Haz-been couldn’t be bothered to show up for the last days of the Queen and Prince Philip even when the late Queen asked him to come….he wouldn’t. Let him go back to Montecito and continue to whine about his broken dog bowl and necklace. HE’s trivial and not needed. The royal family need not negotiate.

Dr Raj saying H and M fell in love and didn’t think about what being in the royal family entailed. Fine. However that is when they step away, make their own way, close their mouths as far as talking about his family. Go see her father, it would at least appear like there was some compassion. Bring their children to see those family members. Others live distances apart, our friends grand child is in Canada, they are in England. They have a good relationship with their grandchild. I sure wouldn't want that Psychiatrist treating me, or ANY member of my family! His ridiculous statement about, "what women want", in a man, is absolutely ludicrous! The so called Dr. is surely painting EVERY woman, with the same brush, so to speak! The first rule of ANY doctor is to understand that every patient is of a different background, has different wants & different needs‼️ Terrible.

‘An immature couple’, is an excellent way of putting it.

It is now well accepted in medical circles that stress does impact the body and create disease. This Psychiatrist needs to do more current reading on the interplay between cancer and stress. H&M's disgusting elder abuse over the years and years has most likely impacted KC's health, his cancer diagnosis.

The foundation of any relationship is trust. How many chances do you give to someone, hoping that they will take responsibility for the damage they did, only to have them stab you in the back, front and from all directions? Forgiveness is fine if someone is repentant or self-aware of their issues. The "rift" is significant especially since it was played out (by Harry and Markle) in the public eye. It's hardly trivial and William is right in protecting his wife, kids, father and the royal family by continuing to block Harry. WHEN Markle finds someone with more assets than Harry and moves on, MAYBE Harry will wake up and start working on healing the damage he has done. And Maybe he will find a shrink who encourages him out of his self-indulgent, unaware victimhood and therefore be someone worthwhile having a relationship with. In the meantime, WHO is urging Harry to put aside the rift? I think few people want to see him forgiven. He and Markle have done too much and we are TIRED of hearing about them.

About being in love and not fully grasping what they were getting into, I give Princess Diana a full pass. She was only 19, she came from an aristocratic family and she would have had an understanding of what the RF meant, and also likely felt enormous pressure to go through with it. As to how much in love she was , I cannot say. As for Meghan Markle, I give her a full fail. Mid-thirties, been around the block a few times, certainly no family pressure, she went looking for a rich husband, manipulated and weaseled her way into meeting Harry, was all about herself and very difficult from the very beginning ( to the point of being rebellious to the Queen of England 😱, who does that ? ). She already had a long history of using people. Nasty all around human being. Did she possibly miscalculate what her life within the RF would be like ? Absolutely. Her arrogance made her think she would just swoop in there and make the changes that would make her top dog 🤦‍♀️

I would disagree with Diana not understanding what the Royal Family means. As an aristocrat, she is very much WITHIN the Royal circle. Both her grandparents worked intensely to position themselves within the Royal circle. Her maternal grandmother was a personal friend of the Royals. She was even depicted in The Crown, for heaven's sake. Diana's father was the Queen's Equerry at one point and he traveled with her and Prince Philip on royal tours. Diana's family actually lived in one of the houses on the Sandringham Estate (before Diana's father inherited the Earldom) and played with Andrew and Edward when they were kids. The Spencers groomed Diana's sister Lady Sara to be Charles' wife (they actually dated) while they were pushing Diana to marry Andrew. Diana's nickname among the Spencers was "Duch" as in Duchess because they were so sure that she would end up with Prince Andrew and become the Duchess of York. So Diana had an absolute understanding of life within the Royal Family and the duties that were expected of them and whomever they married.

The things Harry (and Meghan) said and done are NOT trivial!!!! He hurt his parents, brother, sister-in-law, and his DYING grandparents!!! It is unforgivable! Family isn’t everything, I am closer with some friends then I am my own sister. You cannot trust narcissists, Harry and Meghan will continue to bite the hands that fed them!

I do agree about the diagnosis reaction. I refused counseling as I didn't know how effective it would be. Telling my sons was the hardest part of this and I didn't want them around me until I could reconcile myself. I don't live in the UK and Covid restrictions where starting to take place. My doctor said as a newly diagnosed cancer patient I should not expose myself, especially as my sons would be coming via Heathrow.

I believe they told H not to come home yet, but he dismissed what he was told and thought this might be his in, and rightly so, the Fam was too busy with trying to co ordinate what would happen next and who was going to do what, way too busy to let H take time away from the major plans the RF have to make now, just so he can look good in the worlds eyes. By the way, throwing your family under the bus, calling them racists treating his elderly Grandparents despicably etc is NOT, and I repeat NOT trivial! 🤦🏼‍♀️

A father explained his health situation to his son, and we have no idea what was shared. This is normal family stuff. Harry has no need to know anything else based on his decision to leave the Royal Family and move to California, for a better life with his own family. The king understands boundaries and while he will always love his son; he also knows that Harry can never be trusted or respected again.

Who is this guy? The situations of Princess Diana and Meghan are completely different. Princess Diana’s issues were about Charles’ relationship with Camilla and her abandonment issues. Diana was completely dedicated to her royal duties and was a monarchist. Meghan was used to celebrity culture and thought that she should be top dog because she and Harry were so popular initially. She thought she should be paid for doing engagements and should be able to monetize her position. She was greedy, spoiled and selfish. She had a multi million dollar wedding, got a million dollars worth of clothing that (then) Prince Charles paid for, and convinced Harry to leave his home so they could cash in on their fame.

I'd never see this psychiatrist. He talks about Spare looking trivial now that the King has cancer. It looked TRIVIAL at the time and will for all eternity.
