But 60 moa at 100 yards ? Think I'd be shiming the scope some.
Like the Bob Ross of guns
Ryan, I have watches several of your fantastic, no BS instructive videos. I just wanted to say thanks for a job well done!
I learned more about scopes and ranging in 20min then in my whole life. This is pure gold video material. Thanks for sharing with all of us 👍🏻
I have watched all Ryan's video's several times, taking notes then applying principals at the range. The single drawback to this? Everyone brings me their rifles now and asks me to sight them in :) Thanks for the knowledge and instruction .
I can't see this being explained any better. Thank you.
lmao my grandfather taught me how to boresight rifles like that and it is hilarious to see people's faces when I do that and a range especially when I go to shoot and I hit right on target. old school some of the best ways

It works. Gets you on paper immediately. Then a few more rounds to dial in. I bore sight in my basement using reflective dots on old cardboard. I leave roughly 1 1/2" inches between bore and scope in elevation because of the close range inside. Always on paper (pretty decently) at 50 yards at the range.

@@johnstewart8849 that’s why it’s called bore sighting… no need for the POS laser, it’s a waste of money.

Can we agree that sometimes “old school” needs to be the ONLY school?
thank you for being the first person to mention sliding the scales. I've been so confused from others lacking that final step. very informative.
THANK YOU MR. CLECKNER! So awesome! Its refreshing to see information presented in such a candid straight forward fashion without piles of death metal playing and baditude. Thank You for relaying your expertise to us mere shooting mortals!
I really cannot compliment Ryan Cleckner enough. I am humbled by his knowledge and his instruction style. Ryan exudes confidence and demonstrates he has nothing to prove and possesses a genuine desire to impart understanding to others. Ryan does not communicate as a know-it-all but rather as one who is comfortable with his education, experience and practical understanding of the information he communicates to others. Ryan demonstrates a true desire to help others grasp information that is second nature to him. Great job Ryan and thank you for you willingness to teach us what you know and understand. Please, keep up the great work!
Great tips! But laughed my ass off when he crop dusted at 1:56! Lmao

Man, thank you for posting this!!! My dad was having troubles FOREVER with his .30 scope (dipshit brother adjusted it without telling anyone)....so at least now we have a solid idea of how to get it realigned.
Hands down the best tutorial I’ve ever seen on this subject! Thank you!
this is the best collection of videos for shooting rifle on the whole youtube..
Ryan, thank you very much for your instructional videos you have opened my eyes to rifle shooting. Awesome!
Hands down best "how to" on setting up a scope for dummies. Everything explained clearly and in layman's terms. Great job!
Thank you for all your help! As a young shooter I'm stoked about turning my Remington 700 into a deer slayer!
Another excellent video Ryan, thank you again.
Well and thoroughly explained. Many thanks for demystifying this process!
This is the best comment I have seen to any of my videos so far! Knowing that you and your family enjoyed shooting together makes it all worth it! Stay safe and keep it up.
Learned more about long range shooting. Set up in one night than all the years I have owned my rifles. Thanks a ton.
These videos are fantastic! Ryan has so much practical experience and his tips have proven invaluable to me. THANKS!
I'm admittedly new to the world of shooting rifle (specifically precision)... as my background is primarily in shotgun... and I must give you top credit for a very complete and clear to understand method you provide your viewers in understanding all mechanics of shooting, scope mounting, MOA, and zeroing your scope, etc.. Many thanks for making the learning so much easier. :)
Thanks great video. Your final comment on recording the mechanical zero is excellent advice. I hadnt thought of that. I had been using another method which was alot more complicated. Brilliant, thank you....
I know this collection of videos is older but they are definitely the best instructional videos, period. Clear, concise and informative. Thank you.
This is how training should always be done and his experience and professionalism shows that. No BS, just good solid, usable instruction.
Great video my friend. Thanks for posting it!
Discovered this channel not too long ago. Loving it!
its honestly amazing how far technology has come . ive done both methods the one seen in the video and with a laser bore sight and both are so close to each other i cant tell the difference. i have alot of respect for the older generation who had no option but to use this method (by eye looking down the barrel). my grandfather to this day uses the eye method and hes more accurate when it comes to hitting the paper and his grouping. thanks for sharing
This is awesome!!!! Thanks for the tip!!!!
These videos are the best I have ever seen. Well done guys!
Excellent. First time I've really understood the process. Thanks!!!

Hello Ryan I live in the UK. I've been watching for a few months now and I'm finding your teaching methods to be excellent. I'm shooting .177 Weihrauch spring powered air rifles (scoped) and wanted to learn the methods you are teaching. I've been shooting air rifles for many years and I do take my shooting very seriously, but I've always wanted to learn these skills even if I cant do what you guys do in the states. Best Regards Paul SUBSCRIBED

Ryan Cleckner, My 11 year year old son has just become a Boy Scout. He decided that one of the first merit badges he would like to earn is the rifle merit badge.Unfortunately,I have only a limited knowledge of good shooting technique. I purchased a 10/22 for him and have watched several of your videos. We will also enroll in the local range's basic rifle classes. I look forward to spending time with him on the range. Thank you very much for taking the time to teach the fundamentals. Ben Barker
