Camped a lot on that lake. Green River lake. Most is 50 to 90 feet deep. The deepest like any by the dame. Although if you can catch them, the fish are huge. Very big salmon. Just like Boysen Reservoir up by Shoshone. By that dame is 90 feet deep. In the center for a lot of it is 50 feet deep. Then comes up from there. Although at Green River, that lake, you need a boat with down riggers. I have a 21 foot pontoon boat. That lake gets packed in the summer. So always go fishing where they are not. Those who use that lake year after year always go to the same spots. As any lake. 100 miles long but yet your friend can be on the other side and you can see with your own eyes them waving. Very fun lake. Many docks. A lot of very good camping sights. Again, take care.

Who knows on that mine. There and to Rock Springs plus Kimmer are so many mines for coal. Rock Springs is built on top of one. My ex uncle's work at the one east of Rock Springs on the north of I80. Both work aboveground. Yet underground now over 4 years ago that one went 56 miles to I believe the east underground. Those mine are very huge and deep. I sure dont miss the cut off pine trees. Yet I need to some time get back to Rock Springs and take care of some business. Thanks for the memories tonight. Take care.

Nice that you beat the storm and put it all behind you. Turns out to be a nice day in the hood. I rode shotgun on this 191 North back in late spring or early summer with you and 418. What a difference from the verdant green landscape to the early winter snow. If I remember correctly, the next stretch of 191N up to I-80 and Rock Springsis at very high altitude (~8000 ft) almost the whole way. It may be very cold, windy and icy up there. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vernal,_Utah Vernal itself lies in Ashley Valley, named in honor of William H. Ashley, an early fur trader who entered this area in 1825 by floating down the Green River in a bull boat made of animal hides. westernmininghistory.com/mine_detail/10252268/ The Vernal Mine is a phosphorus-phosphates mine located in Uintah county, Utah at an elevation of 6,001 feet. Phosphate ore is mined 12 miles north of Vernal, Utah, where it is also crushed, washed, finely ground and concentrated. Commodity Primary: Phosphorus-Phosphates Tertiary: Vanadium Tertiary: Fluorine-Fluorite Tertiary: Uranium Deposit Type: Chemical Sediment, Marine Operation Type: Surface Mining Method: Strip-Hillside Milling Method: Flotation @23:30 If we have to shut down and "chill-out", at least we'll be in town. ("Chill-out", is that what you kids call it when the snow storms shut you down. Good one!) Eighteen degrees and watching for ice on the decent. Wow. Testing the grip on the road surface is a good trick. 8428 ft summit. How deep is the lake? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flaming_Gorge_Dam The dam is 502 feet (153 m) high and 1,285 feet (392 m) long, and its reservoir has a capacity of more than 3.7 million acre feet (4.6 km3), or about twice the annual flow of the upper Green River. The dam and reservoir have fragmented the upper Green River, blocking fish migration and significantly impacting many native species. Water released from the dam is generally cold and clear, as compared to the river's natural warm and silty flow, further changing the local riverine ecology. However, the cold water from Flaming Gorge has transformed about 28 miles (45 km) of the Green into a "Blue Ribbon Trout Fishery". The Flaming Gorge Reservoir, largely situated in Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area, is also considered one of Utah and Wyoming's greatest fisheries. Another great ride along. Peace out.

The car that crossed over in front of you to turn left at the light, never used turn signals. What are you a mind reader whom had to guess what that driver was going to do? You were safely in the intersection when that light turned yellow. I've enjoyed this ride with you & look forward to more trips with you. Peace also be unto you.
