Riding from Antananarivo, a few kilometers after Ambohimahasoa on the RN7, arriving in Alakamisinambohimaha, here the old road begins. The "RN25" which will go to Irondro on the East Coast of Madagascar.
Only, the first two thirds of the 26 km (16 miles) of the road to Vohiparara return to the condition of a difficult track (you can go with 4x4 or cross motorbikes) and it is necessary to continue 27 km further south on the RN7 to take the "good" road at Alakamisy-Ambohimaha, a short distance from Fianarantsoa, where the RN45 allows you to find the RN25 after the Vorondolo bridge, 24 kilometers further east.
On arrival, we drive a little further towards the village, passing rivers and waterfalls in the green nature of this national park, which is very famous for its fauna and flora and attracts many tourists every years.
👉 Erratum: Not the "Ranomafana river" at all... The Namorona is a river on the eastern side of Madagascar. It originates near Ambalakindresy and flows into the Indian Ocean 50 km south of Mananjary.
