What is the purpose of having short wooden speargun like 55 or 75 you can buy aluminuim more cheaper and durable than the wood

Some people like the weight and feel of wood guns over aluminum, and their longevity. They'll last you a lifetime if you take care of them, every part on the gun can be replaced and the wood can always be sanded back and refinished. In my experience I've seen wood guns hold their value very well over time, more so than aluminum. The heavier material will help to absorb recoil as well. Personally though, I think that wood guns really shine at longer lengths, 100cm+. That's not to say that shorter wood guns aren't great as well, there are a lot of people who like short wood guns. Short wood guns definitely give you style points.
