Telos doesn't get neeeeeeear enough attention as it deserves. Amazing album, phenomenal song, but the middle jazz lounge section is beyond with its "hidden lyrics" in the form of a letter. My wife absolutely adores this song and that says A LOT. ❤❤❤ Thank You BTBAM for all of the years of inspiration.

Parallax II changed my life. Also Colors II was definitely my AOTY album of 2021

Have you ever had a look at a small Australian band called Therein? Their whole philosophy is 'Whatever, whenever,'* and most songs are driven by finding or thinking of an interesting rhythm, then building around it. I'd highly recommend their album Aramitama for their most rhythmically unique stuff. *According to guitarist Cameron Whelan, who I am a bass student of.

The reason I started watching/found your channel was the first videos you did on Btbam. Always excited when you make videos about them. They have been my favorite band ever since the first time I heard Colors back in 2009. Future Sequence (or Parallax as a whole) is the magnum opus of their discography. I have listened to this album countless times in my life, and there's always something new I find within the album that are hidden. Btbam, man. The greatest of all time.

my favourite part of telos is... the way the main (chorus?) chord progression is reprised in silent flight parliament

I got to see them play Telos live on the Summer Slaughter tour before Parallax 2 came out. If only I had knew then that Parallax 2 was going to be my favorite BTBAM album.

DUDE. YOU ARE A GODSEND. I've been waiting for this exact video for the longest time to help me understand what the hell is going on in this song. I GET IT NOW. THANK YOU, SIR. Your channel quickly became one of my favorites when I first discovered it, always enjoy your content, consistently interesting, thought provoking and funny as hell. It's a shame Parallax month is over, but I suppose we must move on. Would love to see all the BTBAM albums get the P2 treatment! You ever checked out Rototypical? Curious about what your take on them would be...

sick video man! something I just noticed now, you might be interested in. I first learned telos on guitar probs 8 or 9 years ago but I'm just relearning it now, and caught a little detail. have you noticed that the little lick at the end of the "portal" is the same pattern as the verse riff from Augment of Rebirth from the EP? this is one of the most subtle callback motifs they've done I think.not heard anybody mention it before, it goes by so fast that you'd be very unlikely to catch it unless you were trying to pick it out on guitar.

Man, the thrash section is so catchy and it is also great how it delays resolution. "Not yet, buddy, not yet"

Completely unrelated to the video, but being a Yellow Eyes fan, have you already checked out the Skarstad brothers new side project, Sunrise Patriot Motion? Has that same feverish quality to it like all Yellow Eyes adjacent projects, but they dip more into a post-punk/goth/dungeon synth sound on that one, and it is soooooo good. I bet you'd get a kick out of it.
