Her voice might have changed due to normal aging compare to the past somewhere around 19 years ago from Gundam Seed.. Still her passion and vibe remains to be Lacus Clyne on this one, Salute to Rie Tanaka!

Rie Tanaka is one of the 3 Gundam Seed seiyuus being collaborated with Yuki Kajiura, the same composer behind See-Saw, FictionJunction, and Kalafina. The other two are Houkou Kuwashima and Seki Tomokazu.

In fact, houko kuwashima & tomokazu seki are worked together in kimetsu no yaiba and one piece, while seki and rie tanaka are worked together in marvel cinematic universe (mcu) japanese dub
Now this is a voice I haven't heard Rie use for singing.

The original singer of this song was CHIAKI ISHIKAWA, the lead singer of the group SEE-SAW. Great cover by Rie Tanaka. She has a slightly similar placement, though Chiaki is a more powerhouse singer.

See-Saw is, to be precise, a collab between Ishikawa and composer Yuki Kajiura. Kajiura also has a similar arrangement with singer/voice actress Yuuka Nanri, known as FictionJunction Yuuka, and they are the ones behind the SEED insert songs: Akatsuki no Kuruma and Honoo no Tobira.

Only Naomi Shindou does not return as Cagalli. She's replaced by Nanako Mori.

@@chihayaayase1299 Well, she has not provided her voice for Cagalli for a long time, as evident in SRW games and others where she had no (new) voiced lines. So she probably retired from that role, like how Mami Matsui’s retirement caused Nicol to be voiced by Romi Park in all of his later appearances post Season 1 anime.
