Am watching this program again for the 5th time and Steve,,, still WHAT AN AMAZING PLACE AND EVENT 💕💕💕👍😊

Glad to see you're loving the video, Stephen! Thanks for the support! 👍
What a remarkable event and terrain.
While I agree that a comparison between the different motors would be nice, I'm going to advocate for a feature on those 155mm crank arms and how shorter crank arms work on E-mountain bikes compared to traditional lengths. Maybe a hill climb challenge using various lengths.
and you get paid to do that!!!! Where can I sign up? Great production as usual Steve, but would be good to get more breakdown and feedback on the different motors, models, travel etc in a follow up video because only you know 😎

Ok will do Steve
A one-time, nice event, thank you for Steve's contribution.
Great report once again.Fantastic event. Leaves me jealous as hell. As others noted already, I also would love to hear more details about the differend engines competing. Power, range, drag, general feel, "noise", etc. And one remark, could you avoid to shred that hard with the blocked rear tire when cornering on such nature trails? No Problem in a bike park but those are sometimes centuries old walking paths and we shall be happy to be allowed to ride on them. This shredding looks great for the camera but does hurt and erode them more than necessary. You are not in a race there. Take those few more seconds and ride them a little more gentle.
Love this part of the world, really hope this comes back in '22 🤞🤞
Fantastic film... I remember taking part in treks ride camp down in Afan forest many years ago... I would absolutely love to take part in an event like that one!!
Looked like a blast and a fantastic experience.
That looks like so much fun! I’m super jealous.
Epic! And well jell!! .... looking forward to your views comparing the motors!!
Looks stunning... I would be interested in one of these tours.
I really enjoyed watching this I just wish that I had been there! Great job!
Wow! That event is just so sweet! Great video!
Steve I had to pinch myself and make sure it wasn’t a dream WHAT A GIG.
Hi Steve, again I'm watching this. 😍🤯🤯boom it just blows your mind💪😁🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️stay safe 👍👍👍
utterly fantastic place and event😁👍am jealous
The wire for the piggy back battery on the Focus lives under the top tube, one end in the charge port & the other in a similar port when not in use👍🏽
I would love to do join an event like this! I do not even own an ebike. So for me it would be an amazing experience to do my first testride in an environment like that. Well done documenting it. I watch your videos every day for hours. With beautiful sceneries and new places, it is more entertaining than television!
'Dolomite!!', as JJ might say. 50 killer therapy, at 48+, bike happy. We are all that, gradients and flat. Although fatigued, a two person pup. Dinner cooked, two thumbs up.
Looks awesome, would love to do something like that 👍🏻👍🏻
Heaven on earth💯🇺🇸😄
Steve that looks amazing you most defiantly have 1 of the best jobs ever. We will look out for that next year :)

defiantly or definitely?
Dolomiti, best place in the world😍 God I wish I could do that too
You and your team have done a fantastic job putting together this video. It was very informative and professional you did a great job. How does one get an opportunity to attend an event like that? Thanks.
Great video, thankyou
Amazing!!! I am so jealous (in a good way), keep on riding, have a good one:)
That is a fantastic video and cert looks a good event to do
This looks amazing. How do you get on one of these events?
Dream job
To anyone thinking of going next year, beware that the brake levers are swapped over on European bikes (so that the front brake is on the left). It took me a couple of crashes before I worked that out!
Enjoyed the video but was disappointed that there was no summary regarding the bikes, the wheel sizes and the various motors. Were any of the South African journalists or agents there?
That looks excellent Steve,I've snowboarded in that area and wow it is lovely.I do agree with others,it would be great to hear feedback of which are good and not so good.I also think an article of running costs of e bikes would be good for a lot of people ?

Its all good hahaha! Nice idea on running costs!
WOW, what an event!! Where do I sign up??? You lucky chap Steve
5:08 "Italy's hottest club is "Wadda Treat"! EMBN presenter Shimano McHaibike is back with an all-new club that answers the question, “YA WOT MATE?!?” Don’t look for a bouncer - there isn’t one. Instead, the door is guarded by ten jacked roadies on electric fatbikes. *This place has absolutely everything* : ice sculptures of bottom brackets, vegan athletes, a Doddy wearing cable tie jewelry, room after room of broken suspension forks, and none other than Blake Samson doing back flips into a tub of WD40. Look who just walked in - is that Natalie Portman? No, it’s an old Irish man who we call Neil Donoghue."

few questions? is this open to anyone. how much does a trip like that cost. did you have to pay to rent the bikes. when are these events available and whens the next one. after these event's is it possible to visit with your own e-bike only asking because of batteries on planes ( is that an issue ) really enjoyed watching this I liked the Scott Genius, and the HIA BIKE. although my favourite has to be the HIA BIKE xduro allmtn 9.0 that looks the business in the blue and green. thanks for another great show!
What are the 155mm crank arms on the Ghost Sl amr, GIO? Shimano do a 165mm XT which is the shortest for the steps motor but I want a 160mm for mine..
What did you think of the Shimano e8000 compared to the Bros motor that you usually ride?
This was great !! What is your favorite motor ?
Info on how the motors fared please.
Good,
Awesome job Steve. One question how can I get to go to this event. Would love to find out.

It's a nice bike which I'm interested in so thought it worth asking. Thanks for the reply and keep up the good work Steve.
how long will take it when e bikes will be much lighter than rather 20 25 kg they weigh now
So is this an annual event?
What a great event (nice coverage too) hope they do similar all over the world? Imagine places like Iceland. I expect we’ll hear a few more snippets of testing products in videos to come, but I gotta ask... what would your dream set up be? Variable travel upto 170mm, 29 front with fattie back? Come on, what would your ideal bike be?
@stevejones7956

Hi Craig...well that depends on terrain
Sign me up ... im all over this
Lacking real info, nice camera work, but no data on the differences of all the bikes. Which one preforms best / worst?

Are you wearing Troy Lee armour?

everything but hot supermodels for a happy ending
Glad to see you had a good gig but what I am looking for is a true, objective appraisal of all the bikes you rode. There seems to be a thread of being non-commital in this area. I am looking to buy an e-bike in the near future, was hoping this video would give me some pointers, and aside of how much travel is best, it didn't.

Hi Kevin, of course, can help you for sure. Maybe start with your height and type of terrain you ride?
@kevinstanley3581
6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reply. Height 170cm. I ride a mixture of terrain including rooty singletrack and not too extreme rocky sections. Due to my back problems am looking for a full susser. Current perch is a 9 year oldTrek Fuel EX8. Not looking to ditch this anytime soon but the ebike would compliment this in the short term.

It is hard to say generally, there are in general e-bikes that are better than others for various reasons, but depending on a publication's commercial influence's no one is going to say absolutely what they like best, as we have to remain broadly independent yet also pay attention to where advertising comes from, so we are not going to saying something is rubbish, but I would say that in general at the high end of the bike market there isnt really a rubbish product, companies cant make them anymore, they wont sell. But saying that there are some things that work better than others for given tasks. Some opinions are personal. Jones for example likes bikes i don't like (im from a rival publication) I like bikes he doesn't like... so sometimes it depends on who is actually reporting on them to the thread thats going to be followed... Jones is a very experienced legendary rider and tester, he knows his stuff and although I work at a rival publication, I would say absolutely if he likes it, there is a reason why... and it is not because someone paid him to. how much you want to spend? Above 5K? or below... thats a point where bikes start to be different, i.e. get more exotic...
All that extra weight for that litte bit of electric power no thanks i prefur my both my xc hardtails perfect for what i like to ride
Eh, I'd have taken a tenkara rod with me and you'd not have gotten me away from any trout stream I'd come across.
But you won't do it with a bunch of hanging ups for bikes and bike drives.No-one//////The table of results of wheels and engines would not be?
Lame specialised wasn’t there
why not tell the truth about range on a ebikes in rough terrian and steep climbs mine will give if your lucky 15miles per charge i have 2 batteries so have 30miles range in rough terrian , not much fun in the wikds if your battery is flat and you need a hotel to charge it and 4 hours to wait at least and a meal starts to get exspensive ..
