23yrs old dang I was thinking 28-30 glad to see younger guys being smart you rode your ride nothing stupid.. I am looking finally at getting a bike 10 years me and my wife been dreaming and next year finances for 2 bikes are here and my wife had cancer at 32 and beat it so she's like it's time now (she thought she was gonna lose an eye)

Just bought my first bike at 17. Went with an r6. Its a beast.

I just turned 23 and I just bought my first motorcycle, I got the Yamaha r7. Was worth every penny. Huge relief if you’re going through some tough times just hop on your bike and ride.

This video makes me literally feel excited to get a bike! I start my MSF course on July 5th. I have wanted to have a bike since I was about 4 years old. Love the happiness in your voice.

The difference between full converge and liability only may be substantial as well. Do your research before financing. Don’t want to end up with a huge monthly bills (note and insurance).

Seriously, try and save to avoid interest and higher insurance coverage. Keep an eye on fb marketplace. Someone reminded me to check it, and I legit picked up a 2024 R3 with only 115m for just $4600. Dude posted for 4750, but was OK taking an even 4600. I nearly soiled myself. At a dealer, MSRP is 5499 before all of the "fun" fees.

I just started riding as well got my first bike went thru the msf course on it and loving it. I'm starting on a KTM 2023 RC 390 It's a fun bike to learn on just seeing this video reminded me of my first ride. I can feel the excitement in his voice. I'm still learning to edit filmed quite a bit so far but was having mix issues finally got those fixed but it's gonna be a fun summer.

Doing good on the bike man. Glad you were smart and took the MSF course right away. Just keep taking time at your own pace and riding will become natural in a short time. R3 is a great bike too. I'm on a 450. I got friends that can fly by me, but I love the light weight and fun of smaller bikes.

You're braver than me. Took MSF, failed evaluation because I can't stick a figure 8 or U-turn to save my life. I'll be repeating the course and hope to pass. In the meantime, I purchased an R3 and have played around my boy's neighborhood, but I am scared as hell to venture out on the main roads. I guess I should buck up. That last quarter team isn't going to last forever. Lol

So in my country, you gotta take 15 driving lessons and than a test.. Gettin my test this week, cant wait to start riding!

always take it slow i was the same way when i first started riding. the coarse has taught you well please always apply what youve learned and keep the going fast for on track, also get some reflective material or lights for your bike and self to be seen better if you want. most of the time blakk vehicles and darker clothing are hard to see. the turn signals are suppsoed to be that way so they arent ripped off by the wind the flexibility is on purpose

I bought my first motorcycle at 19. Im 22 now. It was a 1982 suzuki GS1100L. Yes I almost ate shit the first day i rode home. Dont get stuck on one bike, they come in all kinds of flavors. Those bigger ccs are a little heavier and need more thought in clutch control starting from a dead stop. Best thing you can practice is low speed balancing with your clutch and rear brake

Dude. For your only experience being the MSF course, you’re riding smooth as hell. For a beginner rider, clutch control was good, rev matching was great, etc… honestly impressive. Have you rode dirt bikes before? Super smooth for a first time rider if not. Just don’t get too fearless on the bike and you’ll be perfectly fine. Just get some gear. It’s not if you go down, it’s when. The better rider your are, and the more gear you got, the less bad it will be when you go down. I got hit and got a dislocated shoulder and 6 months of P.T. My gf had some torn gloves and scratched plastics. Some people don’t go down as hard as others. Just watch out for the other idiots in the road and you’ll be good. I’d have thought you rode before with the way you ride. You’ll turn out to be a damn good rider. Been riding on the street for 8 years. Riding in general (dirt bikes) for 17 years. I’m excited for you, because you seem like you got a year ahead of most brand new riders in the way you control the bike.

I highly suggest going and sitting on as many bikes as you can before ultimately making that decision. I had my eyes set on the white 24 R3. I was just at the dealership yesterday. To me it wasn’t even close to being one of the more comfortable things to sit on. I still have the R3 as my background on my phone though because it’s so dang pretty. It wasn’t a height issue. More so just the way the tank and seat met, my inner thighs didn’t like that. The ninja 500 was the most comfortable one I sat on. In that category of bike. I tried to convince myself I liked the R3. But I couldn’t. I sat on a dual sport and actually really liked it the most but wouldn’t use it the way it should be. So I decided my first bike is between a couple bikes. And neither is the R3. My buddy thought it sat great except for the mirrors. He didn’t have an issue with the tank so it could just be person to person lol.

I'd suggest riding without having the distraction of recording a video at the same time until you are much better. Riding well, especially in traffic needs all of your attention. Remember, there's nowhere soft and nothing soft to hit or land on when you're riding. Best of luck to you.

You could possibly get a 600 or 1000cc bike someday. Please don't take this wrong. But you want to drop the habit of chopping the throttle when you are gearing down. (Maybe the bike doesn't engage gears properly, not sure why you are doing that) But the bike would probably break loose if it were like a gsxr1000 or something similar. Just saying. Have fun.

The upgrade is actually a throttle tube, a throttle body is a different part. I have mine sitting next to me currently waiting for an mt-03 delivery hahaha, same mod for it as the throw is super long.

24:10 You can hose down everything just don't be dumb and spray you control clusters with high pressure jets just in case you get water past the buttons. I wouldn't use any de-greaser or high pressure water jets near the chain and wheel bearings neither just to be safe

Practice shift braking your pads will last longer.

21:06 - 22:10 I cant believe someone bothered to paint that whole fence... In the Netherlands you'd only have the vertical poles (no paint) and then barbed wire instead of the horizontal wood. Then at the very top there's often a wire with electricity on it, depending on what the field is used for (electricity is often used for cows, horses or bulls).

I am planning on getting a bike I was hoping to get a R7 or and R3 there isn't many bikers where I'm at and if there is a biker they're mostly guys and mostly horse riders which I am and horse riding is soo similar its crazy

My son just did his MSF course same weekend. I thought you where in his class at first when talking but no This 82 yr old guy wanted his license but he was told No nicely after a hr of riding he feels down once & kept going in wrong direction on step 3.

Relax on your handle bars. You have a death grip. I used to hold those handle bars tight once you get in your groove everything will flow.

as a new rider myself i would recommend starting on a lower cc bike, its better and easier to learn on a motorcycle that is more forgiving than something that isn’t.

How do you think of bringing a phone mount, and how do you even know to rev match if that really is your first bike?
