I was a ride mechanic at KI for years. We would ride the Racer and the Beast without restraints during the winter break in period

Nah you’d be totally fine on bat. The free swinging natural eliminates any crazy lateral motion the would throw you out. In fact, it’s the one coaster that they allow you to place bags on the floor and they really don’t move much. Of the major thrill coasters you’d be the safest. Even more than backlot, which if in the front, has two pops of -.5g airtime. Racer has enough negatives to throw you. It’s peak is the hill before the turnaround and with a loose restraint you’re up for a couple seconds. It’s not so strong that you wouldn’t be able to hold on through the peak for sure, but iffy. In the middle category since if you hold on you are still slamming down hard.

We rode the beast and racer with buzz bars, no seatbelts all throughout my childhood.

Your right! I completely forgot they used to have buzz bars. They easily go into the alive category.

I feel like you could survive Orion's first drop. Now granted I have yet to ride it, but it looks like you'd float above the seat then get crushed with positives feeling like a B&M Dive without spring loaded wheels. So the first drop at least should get alive but hurt but the overall ride can get put smack into the ᵈᵉᵈ zone.

You should do this but with every ride at Universal and Islands of Adventure lol that video may take off
