Are you kidding me ? They don’t even have to mount or dismount ?? That’s not riding but for people who don’t know what they are doing I guess that’s for the best. Beautiful trail tho !

There's an area where you stand up on a walkway to get on n off. It's definitely for people that are learning to ride. You can go to polo for more riding

When we went, I had a small bag with me so I think a fanny pack would be just fine

Absolutely, directly across the street is a really nice beach area and they also can take another tour while you are riding. There is a Jurassic park tour bus and ziplining too

Thinking of doing this horse back tour then the secret island right after do you think it’s too much for 1 day? Also, was it a lot of work riding the horses or would you say it’s a pretty chill ride? Are there any lunch available in that little cafe you went to? Appreciate anything you can share about the ride. We are going on December Thank you

Aloha Kathy! So if you do the horse ride in the morning, definitely bring a change of clothes with you. It is a fairly laid back ride, but it is dusty, so we did get a bit dirty. I did horses and studio tour and drove to north shore for the day, so I think you will definitely have plenty of time. There is food at Kualoa but I recommend the ride up to the Kahuku Sugar Mill Food Trucks where you can have so many great options!

I just booked this. Can I bring my Sony mirrorless camera on horseback? Is it allowed and would it be a bad idea because of horse shaking? thanks in advance!

We had a GoPro with us for this tour. I think you can definitely bring a camera as long as you can secure it on yourself bc it is definitely a bumpy ride. But you will have a couple times you pause for pics as well so you'll be stationary.

I noticed they mount and dismount on right side of the horse. In uk we always do it on left side of the horse would they turn the horses around to do it on the horse if requested cos I would find it hard to mount like that

That’s not really mounting or dismounting ! It’s hoping on from steps and off from a hill. No horseman ship involved whatsoever

Hello! I'm thinking about doing the 2h horseback ride. Do you go through the movie sets area too, the valley or only near the beach ?

Aloha! You will go by the movie sets and have opportunities for photos as well. The ride in will be from the ranch, along the trail where you can see the beach, then you'll head into the valley and see the Jurassic Park portion

Can you tell me how long the riding was? I‘m thinking about booking the tour:)

Sure! :) We did the 2 hour and you ride pretty much the entire time. The ocean views are gorgeous and they give you a few photo ops too. They were really great.

Do you get grouped with other people? I want to do this but would have to do it solo

So, yes you are with a group but you each have your own horse. You kinda ride together but one by one. There's no solo ride here

How much was it per person to ride?

It was 113 for children and 169 for kids but check with Groupon and LivingSocial and Oahu discounts because they run specials all the time. When we went it was 40% off.
