Я тоже их застал, но в тот момент как стали появляться первые скейты (восток, рыбка, роллинг) 91-93 гг. Тачки забросили, пересели на скейты, ездили на них по привычки, после тачек, в основном сидя, с горок. Район был новый и асфальт везде ровный, сейчас и машин много и асфальт не везде ровный. Сейчас скейты другие, с шире разнесёнными колёсами, ездят на них стоя и катаются на удобных для этого или специальных площадках, а мы по всему району носились (повторю район новый был, много ещё даже тёмного асфальта было).

As a kid growing up in Colombia in the 70's, I made many wooden carts like these with other kids in my neighborhood. We rode them down hill and had a blast. We would design foot breaks, steering columns, horns, etc. It was a lot of fun.

I remember the cart during my childhood in the 80's and 90's here in the Philippines when we used to gather firewood from the woods of the mountains. The difference is the tires were larger, close to the size of a regular car. Wood was shaped into wheels and rubbers were glued or nailed that act as the tire.

В СССР подобные каталки делали у нас в Москве мальчишки- подростки, при чем очень хорошо( поверх палок с подшипниками прибивали доски для сиденья), все деревянные части были отполированы, чтобы не было заноз..Это были 80-е годы прошлого века.Катались с крутых склонов прудов по асфальтированным дорожкам , скорость была ого-го!!!

I am 69 years old today, when I was a youngster in the mid 60s to 70s we used to make something like this and go down a very steep road. It was dangerous but we go great thrill out of it and many injuries as well and got a hiding for it. But this is ridiculous, to make something like this in 2024 to use as transport.

Being environmental responsible and making a transportation device that can decompose is ridiculous??

We use to play with those when I was a little kid, back in the 60s. As an adult, I would use the bearings as the centetrpiece for some kind of wheels (bicicle, motocycle, even wood). How will this contraption withstand some pot holes or a dirt road?

WE MADE SIMILAR GO KARTS WHEN I WAS A BOY. WE HAD BRAKES ON OUR GO KARTS IN FORM OF A STICK WITH A PIECE OF TYRE THAT SCRAPED ON THE ROAD BY WAY OF FRICTION..

Very safe! No inflammable fuel, no electricity, no chance of tyre blow-outs and no asbestos in clutch or brake systems!! What can possibly go wrong?

We used to make these "rattle traps" when I was a kid using 2x4s and real junked wheels and race em down a steep hill in front of the house. Cars would come up and honk their horns, "get out of the road!" LOL. Those were the days.
