Riding Fixed Gear a Documentary
Ойын-сауық
Riding Fixed Gear is a short documentary I did for my Motion Picture Language and Editing class at Academy of Art University. The short is about two guys; Bradyn Spaccarotelli and Kyle Fox, both who have been riding fixed gear bicycles for about 8 years. Watch as the two ride and share their personal experiences and explain why they choose to ride fixed gear in this visually appealing and enlightening short.

This is cool to ride bikes like this, ride mine to work about 14 miles round trip 6 days a week, I enjoy every ride.
Really cool short documentary film!
Great Editing. love it!
Amazing film man!
Wonderful film
good movie, i like the concept 👍
I can't afford nice bars, or wheels or anything really. But I ride a ratchet fucked up blue "thing". No breaks on a flipflop (I ride fix of course) but I still love my bike. I just got a new front wheel with a white rim and some bullhorns. I'm constantly trying to save up money for this thing XD I started riding fix around a year and a half ago, and loving it. I've always been one for speed, and stuff. Not sure what the point of this comment was but yeah :D

I live in Rancho and I’ve been to all the places in the vid 👍🏻
Great video 👍
I really want to get into filming short films like this. I did one last summer but still learning...maybe you could show me a couple things? :)
Great music choice
♡♡♡♡ love fixed gear!
What are the rims on the leader 725?
I ride most of those places in Rancho, not on a fixie though! Since when did the brakes and gears become unecessary parts hahaha. Cool video, I dig it.
And atlanta is a amazing place to ride too.. Downtown atlanta
Guys this is awesome, #FIXIE4LIFE
Nice video, what bullhorns are those on the Leader?

Thank you! The bullhorns on the white Leader 725 are the Cinelli Mash Bars.
1995 La Source good music choice
I prefer a flip flop for challenging rides and I do think it is very dangerous to ride without a break. However, I do like this film. You are not a poser if you use breaks, remember that guys and gals!
The name of the first song?

Long on music and short on content I thought. Nicely filmed. I don't feel I know any more about why people ride these bikes.

Expensive fixie here
you never went that fast with no helmet and no freewheel man .. smart up
if fixie is about how fast u can get there, forget it, ill stay coaster brake marathon and ss
I feel like a fixed gear is so limited.

Your legs are your limit. That's why fixed gears are so chalenching and fun to ride.
Great video but the subjects lack personality.
Pssssssssst........ it's ONE gear.
brag about no brakes, use brakes 2:26
Things I don't like about fixies 1. The fucking climbs. 2. You can't ever go faster then 17 mph unless going down hill because then the pedals spin too fast getting no "bite" to the tire.

You can go as fast as you want with a fixed gear as long as you have the right gearing. It sounds like you're geared too low. I run a ratio around 75GI for urban riding, which is most comfortable around 18-20mph, but I've gone up climbs with grades in the low teens as well as hit around 30mph on descents. On flat, I can't hit more than about 26mph on a sprint, but as I look to do more racing, I plan on going to a higher gear.
Goofy 🤣
wow, so lame👎😆
