I love kitra speaking about splash mountain closing in such a level headed way. She’s 100% right. We have had so many years to enjoy the ride. Some times things don’t age that well and it’s time to let go but that doesn’t mean the memories won’t be there.

I was hoping your situation was going to improve…we had a much smaller scale similar situation in our condo last year (the water heaters in both of the condos above ours have occasionally overflowed over the fifteen years we’ve lived here and the collective damage forced us out of our home for almost three weeks while building management had repairs essentially tear apart and rebuild parts of three whole walls)…thankfully, the work was fairly quickly and competently done, but we ended up stuck in an extended stay hotel for almost all of February)…Good luck!

The look on Peters face is priceless when he’s in the log passing Kitra! I’m very sad Splash Mountain in WDW closed…at least I got on it the last time at was there in September. It’s like losing a piece of my childhood. Disney better do the re-theming justice…there better be very little screens and lots of animatronics 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😊

The wettest I’ve ever gotten on a ride was Wild West falls at Movie World or the Storm Coaster at Sea World on the Gold Coast, I missed out on going on splash mountain when I was in the states but I’m planning a trip next year! So excited!

Magic Mountain's Rapids ride was by far the most water i've ever seen dumped into a raft.. our raft was FILLED with water when we got back to the station, It looked like a hot tub

No one can ever say y’all aren’t pros dedicated to your craft. I am going to think of y’all every time I don a poncho to ride Splash Mountain. (Or should I say - used to wear a poncho. RIP WDW Splash). Awesome video. I remember once buying my six year old a Splash Mountain towel. He was so wet and chose that instead of a new dry shirt. He ran around the MK the rest of the day with that towel wrapped around him. He’s now 19. And that memory makes me so happy. Love to you both.

I always love doing water rides, rain or no rain 😁 if you guys are ever in europe, be sure to visit Phantasialand in Germany. It has one of the wettest rapid river rides I have ever been on! Probably a 9 or even 10! And their log fume ride is my absolute favorite! 😁

The wettest I’ve ever been from a water ride is at Knott’s Berry Farm, the Perilous Plunge!! You had a shoulder bar restraint and half a dozen seatbelts strapping you in. Boat goes up ramp, then come down. When you hit the water there was this moment of calm and quite. Then one drop, two, three, then what felt like the whole pool, fell on top of you! 110% soakage!

The wettest I've ever gotten on a ride was on Jurassic World. I'm sure the ride workers took one look at us and thought, "there's a sucker born every minute." Like lambs to the slaughter, they put us very senior citizens in the front row. Luckily, it was a warm day, because I was drenched.

I think the worst we ever got soaked was on Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges at Islands of Adventure. It was bad enough with the ride itself but we had some people hitting every shot of the water guns on the side of the ride :D

There are two more water rides at Six Flags; Jet Stream and Roaring Rapids. On Roaring Rapids there's a water fall that will leave every part of your body wet. At one time there was even a drying station with heaters and fans outside the ride.

One of my fav river rapids rides is at Branson Missouri's Silver Dollar City. At the entrance of Mystic River Falls "You will get bathtub wet" is pretty true lol. I don't think I could find a single dry spot in my clothes after riding that.

I have found that if you sit next to the step/open area of a water rapid ride you’re more likely to get wet, as well as weight distribution. The heavier side usually gets soaked, and I’m on the heavier side, and I noticed I’m drenched while the thinner people are not sopping wet.😂

I go to Knott's every year in November. I always ride the rapids at the end of the day because I know there is a major chance I will get soaked. Hence, why I do it at the end of the day. :) Pro tip: Bring a change of clothes to change into before driving home. Soggy jeans and So Cal traffic are not a match made in heaven. :)
