The comparison is interesting. The average large scale farm in Latah County, Idaho, that grows wheat, legumes, barley, hay, etc. on a rotating basis is probably 2,000 acres (809 hectares). A lot of acres are needed to justify the cost of so much very expensive machinery. Some of the new John Deere X9 combines are around one million dollars. The field in this video is 160 acres (65 hectares).

Thanks for your video. A hinged draper head would work better for that uneven ground.

The comparison is interesting. If my math is correct, the average farm in Latah County, Idaho, is 368 acres (149 hectares). But the large scale farms that grow wheat, legumes, barley, hay, etc., probably average more than 2,000 acres (809 hectares). The wheat crop this year probably averaged 90 bushels per acre (2,450 kg/hectare). The field in this video is 160 acres (65 hectare).
