Update..they sent me two different wallets due to my metal cards sliding back into the slot. Sometimes they never popped out. I sent them a video from each wallet showing the same results. Unfortunately I had already moved to another country and they gave me a refund still. I did request them to think about those cards in the next production.

I’ve got Ekster Parliament and The Ridge Hennessy (forged carbon fiber). I like the Ekster a lot but the Ridge is another level of comfort. Yes, you need to have your main cards in the front and back of the ridge for ease of use. But I love it. I love both! Great review.

Groove just released their tracking wallet. The trace. I have their OG wallet and love it. Very interesting in getting the tracking one.

I just saw that as well, definitely a compelling option! I like the idea that its integrated, rather than a card that can be removed (or noticed by someone that took your wallet).

@@Gear_43 a small downside is the battery has up to a 1.5-2 year battery life. They will replace it, but there is a fee of $10

Now in a hurry or drunk try and remove the middle card from the ridge wallet

⁠​⁠@@Chaosgoatjust wanted to say thanks for the info you dropped man I checked out everything you mentioned and the leather hitchhiker looks really really good so good I’m going to have to get one of those too to have a leather one to switch to when I want leather and the feel of . I just got a ridge and love it for what it is but I also love leather. The open sea one didn’t do it for me but when I saw the hitchhiker one wow .

I went with ridge there’s things I like about groove but I chose ridge .i went with the forged aurora carbon fiber one .

Awesome to hear! Ridge actually just gifted me the Aurora Carbon Fiber to check out for the channel, and it’s rather awesome so far!

Why in the h** would I want to carry 12 cards??? Purpose of minimalist is to take what you need not to store extra cards. Groove Wallet losing due to “capacity” is the stupidest reason. Ridge should lose for making people become card collectors. I only need 4 cards. License, Debit, and maybe 2 credit cards. Anything more and you should just buy a leather wallet.

There are plenty of reasons to need to carry that capacity of cards. Another name for many of these minimalist wallets is cardholders, so its generally needed to have some capacity for cards in a cardholder.

@@Gear_43 You’re making my point good sir! There is nothing minimalist about a wallet made to carry 12 cards. Shouldn’t be in the minimalist category, make a “cardholder” category. It’s just a brick. Ridge is no better than putting a hair band around 12 credit cards. Not trying to offend your opinion, it’s just the engineering behind groove is superior and a true minimalist wallet in my opinion. With the objective to carry only what is needed for EDC not more.

I guess I've always viewed a minimalist wallet as a wallet that helps you get rid of everything but cards and cash, like receipts from six years ago, and that gym membership you haven't used in a decade. Instead, it allows you to keep the necessary things that a wallet should, cards and cash. I can respect your take as well though!

The Ridge wallet is the most overrated piece of crap I’ve ever seen. I consider that thing a card holder, not a wallet. Is so impractical, you basically have to take out all your cards to use one. The Ekster wallet and the Grovve wallet are superior and cheaper.

Ekster technology will go bad with in 6 months and it isn’t scratch resistant.
