if i close my eyes while riding at the walk and sitting trot i can feel a tiny figure 8 under my seat bones. i do this in very short increments here and there around the arena. it really helps. love this explanation of the plugging in method, its extremely helpful! ty!

I find if I imagine my legs are extended and merged into the horses front legs I feel like I am walking and can slow or quicken the pace myself is that what you mean?

thank you for helpful videos. Can you please tell me about seat bone movement in trot? Is it one side at a time or both together? From reading your book the natural rider I get the impression it is one side at a time, but some teachers say it is both together at a higher level of training of the horse. I get the feeling this would be true of a leg mover rather than a back mover

I thought it was one at a time. When the horse's right hind leg comes forward your right seat bone moves forward.
