RideAlong! with Code 1 Aviation's instructor pilot Buck Wyndham as he pilots Aero Vodochody L-39ZO Albatros N187D from Rockford, IL (KRFD) to Wittman Regional Airport (KOSH) for EAA AirVenture 2013. This jet was meticulously restored and won the Best Jet Award at the show!

    I used to take off out of KRFD on runway 25, but my ground roll was a hellava lot shorter. Those L39's use a lot of runway.

    Impressive fighter landing I guess that is what they call grease it on the runway. BTW I guess with that length of a runway using Drogue Chute is out of question. Or did you?

    First off. The L-39C doesn't have a drug shoot. Second of all that runway is over 9,000 feet long. It has had everything from a Cub to the A380 to the Concorde up to the SR-71 Black Bird land on it. Plenty of length
