Ride1Up Rift review: Why this fat tire e-bike ROCKS...!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Ride1Up Rift ($1,895 bit.ly/Ride1Up-Rift) is the brand's first off-road fat tire electric bike, and they've nailed the essence of a fun, adventure-ready e-bike. Read all about my experience testing the bike over on Electrek at: electrek.co/?p=295467

    Wow, it’s for sure a thing of beauty , I’d ask about a torque sensor but from what I’d been hearing R1U has got the cadence sensor locked down, I’m still watching for ride1up to do a MoshCty style bike, hint hint, cuz I know they can do it, great coverage.

    Nicely done condensed reviews. I'm on the search for an Ebike for my wife and I for country roads and rail trails. I'm looking at this price point of under $2k. I like the idea of the Torque sensor over the Cadence but not sure if in the long run will it matter. The bigger question is, for high mileage usage should I be looking at Direct Drive? Not sure how long Hub drives last. I also came across another brand, Freesky not seeing much reviews on, like the Swith Horse and Wild Cat. Like to hear your thougths or give us a review. Thanks

    Great review Mike! I have the Aventon Aventure 1 and love it, but I would purchase this one over it for a little more money! Really outstanding fat tire e-bike the Rift is!

    It’s the most beautiful ebike so far but…. I don’t like the headlight or thumb throttle but the rear rack is awesome and the battery reminds me of the hyper ebike I had unfortunately

    The Eahora Juliet got considerably more watt hours to the dollar compared to the Wildeway FW11S. I would be interested to see Micah reviewing the amazing Eahora Juliet. Under $2k and got nearly 3 kilowatt hours.

    @@craigerskine3609 They are great long range electric bikes. Aniioki A8 Pro Max 52V60Ah model ($2,300) $2,300/3,120 watt hours = $0.737/Wh Aniioki A8 Pro Max 48V60Ah model ($2,000) $2,000/2,880 watt hours = $0.694/Wh Eahora Juliet 48V60Ah ($1,900) $1,900/2,880 watt hours = $0.660/Wh The lower the price per 1 single watt hour means the better the value and better bang for the bucks. It seems like the Eahora Juliet provides the most for its price but the other 2 electric bikes are amazing too.

    Too bad they use a cadence sensor instead of a torque sensor like it's competition. Otherwise I would buy it.

    Left side thumb throttle ? Really ?

  • @HackHunter1835
    @HackHunter1835 Жыл бұрын

    Twist grip all day. Why companies choose thumb over twist is mind boggling to me. These fat tire bikes are essentially scooters. Has anyone ever seen thumb throttles on anything two wheeled prior to 2016ish? Total gimmick. Thumbs up for the channel, not the bike. I mean if you've seen one fat tire bike you've seen them all. Just give it a new name and run with it.

    As bad as it sounds , you get used to it pretty quickly . I got few ebikes and some have twist throttle and some have thumb throttle , just got to a point that i don't find one way superior over another.

    @@steve_main Because many of them come from the same few factories in China. Some brands just slap their brand on the bikes, others customize a bit and make something a bit higher quality and unique. No need to pay for all the R&D.
