The first time I watched the musical this song made me cry, not only because it's heartbreaking itself, but also cause it remembered me, as an argentinian, to the kidnapped babies during the last military dictatorship in my country, whose identities were literally erased and grew up knowing nothing about their parents. Those kids' identities, now adults, are like Jane Doe's head, lost somewher with the memories of their past waiting to be found.

I love that you can see the vibrancy of the lighting in this recording!

While in Atlanta to design a production at ALT, the cast and crew were invited to the final dress preview of this production at the Alliance. I was most incredulous over the brief description of the show and thought it wouldn't be my cup of tea. I am elated to say that after that amazing performance, I have fallen so deeply in love with the show, and your performance as Jane, that the moment the cast recording was released I got one and devoured it. In fact I listen to it in my car constantly now. Thank you for sharing this most magical of moments out of so many, from this production!

CHILLS. ABSOLUTE CHILLS. I CANNOT GET OVER HOW WELL PERFORMED THE BALLAD OF JANE DOE IS EVERY TIME. PROPS.

I really like of how in this one you can hear Ocean and Constance more clearly in the second part.

I'm beginning to grow scared I'll listen to this masterpiece so much I'll get sick of listening to it lmao- Seriously though, I'd strive to be able to sing this song well and hit those high notes perfectly.
