I don’t even know if I would count the “fake out” as a fake out on caverns , it just seems like a way to build and the drop without making it come out or no where

IMO the fakeout in Caverns was 100% necessary. I feel like, if you didn’t listen to the preview, it would be really hard to anticipate what that track was gonna sound like, but you knew it was gonna be good. The fakeout gives you that moment of “oh shit, it’s gonna sound like this??” If that second drop was the first one, it would’ve been way too out-of-nowhere.

@@mrsnipezzz8 Just listened, and it 100% sounded out of nowhere, just not in a bad way. It's apparent that's what the point of the structure was. I messed with Caverns a bit to see what it would sound like without the fakeout, and it felt really abrupt and carried like no energy. The second drop works because of the pattern change, but the first doesn't carry the same impact without the fake.

@@raincastmusic I don't have issues with his newfound business style, however I have to admit that I think that he should take a break from making packs, at least for a little bit so that he can interact with his community a little bit more.

Shit take tbh this ep goes wild, with Ntogether i wasn't even expecting a riddim/trench/dub type beat so it was un expected that it came out like that. And everyone loves fakeouts i dont seee why producers hate on it so much. To me i think it has more to do with the simplicity when it comes to riddim. The fact that something so simple can sound so unique and not too basic. Riddim/Trench is a very specific kind of dub, so specific that you can't change much. But damn do these boys pull it off. If your talkin top tier sound design, listen to Octane. Specifically Nanoprima. Edit: I'm sorry you sir are a good judge. Great reaction. Nice job man. Second Edit: You are hilarious XD

not much on this album stood out to me originally. 55555 is good but space cadet is bonkers

kinda mid ep unfortunately, 137 or even kaizen deserved to be on disciple main label over this way more i feel like. chomp doesn't stand out a bit amongst his discog as a whole, just your run of the mill infekt song, space cadet sounds like a leftover from disruption, 55555 lacks impact, bars and bass ESPECIALLY isn't for me, i don't like it at all. as for songs i like, lights out has a nice metallic tinge, 2gether's melodicity is solid and caverns is hard as shit. still, overall it's too inconsistent and far from being as tight as his last few eps.

as for the riddim trench situation, i also made a vid about it and i'm completely with you on them being entirely different genres. riddim has strayed so far from what it used to be to the point where we can just use both terms and let them coexist as they are. trench for me is classic riddim, the square four sound, old school riddim.

Idk if its just me but I find Trench Guy's music extremely boring. His mixing might be clean but the tracks are sooo forgettable. Like there's nothing special besides some basic Rid... whoops Trench.

I never said anything else. Obviously you have to make shit before you make something good. That's the whole point of improving. The only "toxic trait" here is that you are obviously looking for the negative in a mainly positive point which is "Infekt absolutely kills this style and does it better than most".
