I love the compactness-fits in my front jeans pocket. Incredible little thing

Agreed. Love the small weight (250 grams) and the small size!
That is a very unique and special little camera. It seems to get along with you quite nicely, Frederik! 😊 Some very nice imagery. And did I see some of that ‘white stuff’ in a few photos?!? Oh, I loved the way you started out, with the little pocket rocket, atop that honking Nikkor lens! That was cool. I knew you would make a great video about this camera. Was I right? 😃 Merry Christmas to you and to all you fellow ‘Tubers!!! I’m off to check out your photos, My friend. Take care. Best 👍👍👍✌📷 🇩🇰🇺🇸☺🎄🌟

Thank you for your kind words George! Always a pleasure! Happy holidays!
Nice job. How do you like the stabilization? I've been really interested in this camera because of the ability for it to be both pocketable and use stabilization at night.

Hi, I like the stabilization, simply because I don't notice it! It's just helpful but does not take attention! I used to shoot Fuji and sometimes it could feel like the stabilization almost introduced magnets in the subject while the shutter was open - a bit like you know it from your smartphone probably. But not the Ricoh as far as I can tell - it's discrete.
I just ordered a ricoh griii street edition today. Took me awhile to finally pull the trigger on it. But I can’t wait to use it.

Enjoy it Justin!
Hi Frederik, about image quality it is really surprising, just like they have put an APS-C sensor in such a small body. Now, the cost of having something so powerful, smart and small can be high when you consider that it doesn't take well with bumps, it's not water sealed, and it already has famous dust problems on the sensor. Losing some quality, speed and size, I would choose an M43 camera with interchangeable optics that also allows me to clean the sensor if necessary.

Yep, it goes to show that criterias differ from photographer to photographer. For me the ability to put the camera in a pocket is (almost) the main reason for trying this camera after my Sony RX100M3 hit the floor 3 times and was less cooperative for each time! Also, the fact that the Ricoh starts up and is ready in a split second, is something I really enjoy. So as you write the Ricoh is not perfect, but for me it is as close to perfect as it gets.

Good points MG, but I’m sure you know the old saying, “ The best camera is the one you have with you.” There is never anything better than a ‘Pocket Rocket.’ Always trade offs in life. Sensor Dust will always be a problem, no matter what we do. See Frederik’s video on cleaning the sensor on his Z6ii. Peace

@@georgedavall9449 Me included! I dropped the RX100 on the floor 3 times, and now it is less cooperative 😀

@@georgedavall9449 It's true, sometimes some truths can be harsh. But you can't compare how you clean the sensor on a Z6II or any camera that allows you to change lenses, than a camera with a fixed lens. You can search on KZread for the process of cleaning a sensor in a GR, only a qualified technician can do it and that has a significant cost. Please don't be offended, it's not to polecimize, just exchange information. The GR have enough arguments to fall in love. And there are also some lovers who felt unrequited or how tired of having to send the sensor to be cleaned several times or of only being able to use openings up to 5.6 so that it is not dust. Peace and love.
Nice one. Used a gr for many years until I dropped it. Twice! Very fragile. Trashed it. My used nikon 800, built like a tank + 50mm 1.8 cost me half of the price of a used ricoh. Legends never die.

Has the Sony RX100M3 before the Ricoh. Loved the small size and weight. But after being dropped on the floor a few times, the Sony was a bit tired. I think small cameras lead a hard life because we bring them so many places.
What settings do u use?

Please actually watch the video, and share and support this Gentleman! Watching any Creator’s video all the way through, VS cutting off, also helps. Thank You Steve C. Best to you
The Ricoh GR 16mp has better files. I have this model and deffo won't get a GR3 or GR3x. They are to prone to dying.
