Hi Jan, thanks for your response. Yes to Fujifilm videos in the making. In x100 and one about the ‘older’ Fujifilm digital cameras

How do you need 3-5 batteries a day if you had only taken 200 shots in two weeks when you made this video? I have found the battery issue overblown and typically not field tested by reviewers. Yes, I would like double the size battery. But, I have never run out of battery in a single day and have taken 100s of shots on many outings. The trick is two fold: don’t turn up the screen brightness. The one low battery day I had done this to +2. Big mistake. The screen is a major battery suck. Secondly, turn off the camera between shots. The GR is a perfect one handed camera. I turn it on, take a photo, and turn it off immediately with one hand as I carry it around (tip: you can even set it up to shoot with no lights and screen). This has the additional benefit of protecting the lens from dust. When you do these two things, the battery will last for 100s of shots (again, I have never run out). Other points: thanks for pointing out the solid green light for focus. I hadn’t noticed this. / photo quality is on par with any other APS-C camera such as Fuji, Nikon and Canon. Most use similar Sony sensor. / The lens on my IIIx is tack sharp. / I take only RAW now and process in Lightroom. The Ricoh app for moving photos to your phone or tablet in the field works well. Large batches you still want to do hardwired to a laptop for speed. / Snap focus is great. I just set up custom settings for different use cases and snap focus is often used for quick street shots. / In camera menus allow you to adjust settings countless ways like other major brands. / It looks cheap in photos and some people like this as it doesn’t attract people. The branding is minimal and subtle, helping this. But, it has a magnesium alloy body and is rugged and solid while remaining light. In person, it has a minimal design style which I love and which has won awards. / While it has a useful integrated automatic lens cover, I bought an aftermarket lens cap to protect it in my pocket. / I thought I would hate not having a OVF but it’s a very good screen and framing shots with it in public doesn’t attract people as you’re not bringing it to your eye like an OVF. / The dials are plenty and customizable and allow you to set it up any way you wish and maintain one handed shooting. / You don’t need an aftermarket thumb grip. The ridge to rest your thumb and the wrist strap are sufficient. I link the strap on the bottom corner not top corner so it’s always out of the way. This camera is a hidden secret for people who want an APS-C size sensor and image quality in a tiny, pocketable body. I had owned Fuji X100 (love it but not pocketable) and Nikon APS-C DSLRs and also now own a Nikon full frame but it stays at home now. This GR is always in my pocket, which is its greatest feature.

@@QQQ80804 thanks for the response and feedback. I have shot multiple days now. And the max I could get was 289 raw shots. I had already turned the display down :). If I am out on typical photo day (weekends to concerts etc) I easily shoot 400-600 shots. The camera is great in terms of customisation. Regarding viewfinder, for some reason I really love shooting without one on Ricoh. On my Leica TL that is not the case. I am still trying to figure out some of the features as their are a ton. Fujifilm x100 review/experience coming up in the next weeks. Thanks again for your long and detailed response.

Ik heb er paar episodes over gemaakt. Kort samengevat beeld kwaliteit is goed. Lens zelf focussed slecht en daarnaast vond ik het gebruikt zelf niet prettig. Eerste Fujifilm camera waarbij ik dit ooit heb gehad
