August 1999, our oldest son who wasn't due until October, came into this world via emergency c-section. I was awake, numbed from the waste down with a sheet to divide me from the doctors and nurses working frantically to save him. I began to get nauseous at the thought of knowing I was being cut open, so my husband asked if they could turn on a radio for me. This song was playing on the radio. Then came our 4lb. baby bird, who fit so perfectly in his daddy's palm. Fast forward nearly 21 years. He graduated high school, went to directly into the US Navy, and has seen more of this beautiful world than I could hope for. ❤

Listening to it so much right now. When my marriage collapsed in 2018, I was a broken, shattered man. The only happiest days were seeing my sons born. I never wanted to leave and would have stayed miserable to be with my kids. My girlfriend, I am sure was with me through the trials and tribulations. This song I dedicate to her every day.

Since having my son 5 mths ago I always hear it in my head when I look into his big, beautiful brown eyes. I loved this song when it came out in 1999/2000. Now, as a mom, it has so much meaning. I replace "man" with "mom" and some of the words to fit my baby

I met her on a singles chat site and went to meet on a dare. I never took those sites seriously and was going through the pain of trying to forget my ex, so many disappointing flash relations and still finishing grad school. I figured “what the heck take another chance". This song was playing on the radio in my car while I waited. She pulls up next to me, our eyes meet, she smiles, we both jump out of our cars like two kids who knew each other forever and we laughed. It’s now 20 years later, we have a son and two steps and she's lying beside me as I write this reply.

When I took the time to listen to the song I learned how much Ricky Martin expressed the emotions to successfully sing this song...I have loved it ever since 1998. This song is soooo beautiful, I swear I FEEL it instead of hearing it. The Spanish version for me is just heavenly... Ricky has a few songs that make me feel like that now that I think about it... 'Perdido Sin Ti' and 'Bella' being some of them... Make me want to feel that type of love again...
