Excellent Spiderwoman!!! I believe if you went into this expecting Hal Prince & Patti LuLone, you were doomed to be disappointed-much like the current Carousel compared to the RNT 94’ revival. If you saw this production as a fresh take, much like what is playing the Imperial theater and opening tonight - you’ll have a wonderful evening in the theater! Thank you as always for these gems!

The only show I've ever seen on Broadway yet I went the day Ricky was on leave 😢😑

Guess what we watched last night?!?!? Fabulous viewpoint of surprising performance, enhanced by diction to shame most other singers. Four-part upload of full production, while a blessing with a bow on top, doesn't catch much of the beginning projection. (stealth demands a price!) YOUR gracious gift here, along with justified spotlight, fills in the puzzle pieces! Molto grazi, Mdm. A.S.! P.S. The cast recording vid of Buenos Aires is a marvel of celebration. If one's body doesn't move to it in response, one must have kitty litter in one's shorts. ALW's fresh orchestrations for the '12 production highlights a genius among maestri. Similar to bathing in the doc of Bernstein '89 recording W.S.S. the mad interplay of unfathomable orchestrations lead us mortals to genuflect.

The London revival opening number wasn't this boring! Matt Rawle was a thrilling Che xx

How this man wasn't cast as Freddie Mercury in the recent film about queen will cost me a great deal of sleep

Someone did not put their recording device away when instructed

I think the Argentine flag around the arch was a smart idea but I think cutting the Cinema Scene was a bad idea, the only time the real Eva Peron speaks and its a smart idea. Martin is stunt casting, a bad director could be the main reason as it is never just the actor’s fault. The whole show came off as lazy.

What’s annoying about Ricky Martin is that also on the Spiderwoman’s Channel is Pro Shot of him in Les Mis he’s better there than here

Martin is just so bland. Che is supposed to be at times angry and sarcastic and Martin just seems to be singing

Well. There’s that.

His singing is so much better here than Les Miserables. You can see he’s diaphragmatic here. His Les Miserables portrayal of Marius was not very good. I would love to see him as Che.

I will say I saw this production in London and I still think it’s fantastic. But something got lost coming over. Ricky wasn’t a good choice, it went into the wrong theatre - I still think the St. James would’ve been better - and American audiences of a certain age had their teeth sharpened for this production. Anything less than the Hal Price - Patti LuPone combination would never win them over.

I saw this production in NY in 2012. It was great, esp. Ricky. Elena was terrible. She is no Patti LuPone!!
