The best thing about these performances by Ricky Jay is that he's doing really clever and entertaining magic tricks and yet he's such a showman and great storyteller that the trick becomes almost incidental and you find yourself more interested in the story

Still can't believe Ricky has passed away, such a master magical card wizard that even had Penn & Teller left baffled over whilst scratching their heads aswell as the magic circle! It was a joy to see Ricky play one of the Bond villains in the Bond film, Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) playing the role as Henry Gupta who was the mastermind behind the little red box that is the Royal Navy's fleet encoder that can render a ship off coarse such as the HMS Devonshire after it has been tinkered with! Staring alongside Pierce Brosnan (as 007 James Bond) and Jonathan Pryce as the power hungry mad media mogul Elliot Carver & his wife Paris played by Teri Hatcher to name a few! Suffice to say that the International magic circle most certainly will not be the same without Ricky! The best card magician in the entire world by far!!! RIP Big Chap!
