RICKY GERVAIS is DEADLY SIRIUS #04
Комедия
Episode 4 - Ricky chats with Noel Gallagher and David Baddiel
The first episode of Ricky's new series of radio shows on Sirius XM
Ricky Gervais is Deadly Sirius: Ricky with comedian chums and eminent guests discussing the big issues. Entertaining, thought-provoking, and often taboo-crunching chat about ethics, science and art; interspersed with utter bollocks and the greatest songs of all time.

Better not talk about it. She might be listening. No, in fact, she's out today so we can slag her off. Let's talk about her fat arse. Oh, you're in such trouble now. Look at his face! He's realised she might be listening.

Love an XFM listener
Best show I’ve listened to in a long time. What David Baddiels’ Dad says at the funeral is hilarious.
Fucking hell, Noel can't get a word in edge ways. probably a first
This episode has made me unbelievably happy.
Love how everyone in the comments is just making quotes from the XFM golden years

Excellent show. Nice to have you back on the radio.
Never heard Noel being this quiet before. Towards the end all he does is giggle. Forget he's even there lol
This might be my favourite thing ever
This was brilliant! I've been listening to the XFM sessions again recently and they're very funny! But this is different, it's still friends chatting but if anything it's less belittling jokes and more self deprecating stories and observations. I loved this and cracked up throughout just as the previous episode made me search and learn a few new things. To me it felt like hanging out and listening to 2 heroes in Gallagher and Gervais, Baddiel was brilliant, who I just remember from Fantasy Football League.
Cant wait for the next episode!!! Ricky amazing as always!
57:49 really speaks to me. *I'm crying*
Best one yet IMO. Noel's the perfect guest here.
Really enjoying these new podcasts. The stories from David were absolutely hilarious!
You look like Dave Hill from Slade
Loving these. Thanks!
That was really great !! Just 3 blokes 👍
Ricky these are magic keep them coming
22:05 Ricky tuns into David Brent "huh?" lmao
These are great, loved this one
Wow, best episode so far purely down to David’s stories and repartee with ricky in the second half. I was laughing out loud to some of those, hilarious. David should definitely be a regular guest
Really funny, loved the stories!
That David Baddiels mum story is incredible.
This is pure gold!
After 48 episodes this is still the best!
These are beyond good.
This is the best one so far.

Yeah. If Ricky doesn't promote it or tweet about it at all then we'll know there's an issue between them.
I always love conversations between people who genuinely into music.
Never heard this before I’m crying with laughter 🤣🤣🤣
Really enjoyed this. I would love to listen to Ricky chatting with Liam Gallagher.

I think this is the first time I've heard noel Gallagher being drowned out by others
What a fabulous episode david badiel had me laughing so much.Ricky you and david badiel are so funny together.Any chance i could come in to the show with you to i have plenty of embarrassing stories to share. Thanks for making me laugh so much.
This episode should be called Ricky and David Baddiel get Noel Gallagher so they can spend an hour preventing him from speaking
Never wanted it to end. lollies
At 2:10 Noel Gallagher's Aussie accent is spot on! On ya mate!

alexphotoman I first heard Noel's Australian accent in 2002 when Oasis played at Livid in Brisbane. About halfway through the set Noel asked the crowd what we wanted to hear and "Don't Look Back in Anger" must have caught Noel's ear, because he said, "Engah? What's Engah?"

Great show. Cheers guys.
These shows are awesome baddiel and Ricky work awesome together.
these are so good!
(I'll have a tl;dr version of this, to spare you the novel, but if you do read this one, I thank you.) I had suspected for some time that Ricky, in short interviews on American talk shows and longer interviews elsewhere, had started to omit Steve from his career résumé. I gave him the benefit of the doubt for two reasons: 1) I like Ricky and have done for years. I didn't want the suspicion to be proven correct and 2) how could someone reasonably go from "collaboration with Steve Merchant on The Office and Extras, among other things" to "ME ME ME ME" and think nobody will notice? My suspicions were confirmed when Ricky appeared at The Oxford Union a few months ago. He started in on the whole "I made this" and "I did that", consistent with his new stance, wanking on about being an auteur. Then someone asked him a compound question, explicitly asking about re-uniting with Steve and Ricky ignored that part of the question. Now he's on Sirius XM, again going over his career beginnings and surprise surprise, no Steve again. It's really fucking selfish and wrong. His omitting Steve from XFM is fine, up to a point, because he did famously hired Steve because his CV was top of the pile. But after they were booted and made that aborted talk/chat show with Robin Ince and Jimmy Carr, it was _Steve_ who went to the BBC for a production course and ended up working on the World Service. If not for Steve, there would have been no Seedy Boss and there would have been no Office. So Ricky can engage in as much career revisionism as he likes, the record shows him as a liar. And those who wish to correct the record will do so. I think it's a cuntish thing he's done.

It's very irritating but I think the fact that he seems to only be concerned with the American market now anyway he knows it won't damage that because most Americans don't know who Steve is. He's fallen out with Karl as well when about three years ago he used to bang on about how he was the funniest person he knew, truth will come out at some point

Patrick Clark Yeah, what's with him not mentioning Karl anymore? Are there any rumours?
Great show. Cheers
David's stories are the best thing ever
Make them available on iTunes Ricky !
best one yet
PLEASE make these available as Podcasts in iTunes!
For those who miss Steve and Karl; We have a happy medium here. A guy wearing glasses and a Manc. That should nourish you for now.
Another great discussion Rick. About time you updated the description for these though. It's definitely still not the first episode ya twonk
I think these chats are class but I wish they were filmed!
Great episode
Love that Ricky referenced Love is like oxygen by Sweet. Fantastic song and written by the band, not Chinn and Chapman. Noel also good call with Fox on the run 👍
Love that Bowie watched the Seona Dancing clip I used on Room 101 x
David is a great side kick. Never heard of him before (im swedish) but he is really funny.
These shows got a bit tired towards the end, but this one is easily the best. So, so funny, and it's not often Noel Gallagher is in a room with two other people and talks the least! Brilliant.
Its crazy this is rickys show....this whole ep is david baddiel making noel laugh
this is sooooooo good :)
Love it. Just one thing Cum On Feel The Noise wasn't covered by Twisted Sister it was covered by Quiet Riot. Not a patch on the original or the Oasis version though. Sorry if somebody has already made this comment. Couldn't be arsed to read them all.
Absolutely brilliant. Would be good to have those three do an annual hour or two podcast, think they only scratched the surface there. Ricky's mentioned a few times he drinks everyday - much per day? Bottle of wine? Is that bad?
It's not a podcast without Merchant and Pilkington
I was really excited for this but now I'm struggling to even get through it. The video should be entitled 'Ricky Gervais and David Baddiel Interrupt Noel Gallagher for 70 Minutes'
@AkyovNorthWest

its not that bad. More like a discussion between the 3 on various things. It's better than Noel telling his "how my album was made" story a millions times like he's recently been doing
2 legends
Noel Gallagher! Yees
Absolutely fantastic stuff - so much better than the vast majority of crapolla out there!!!
brilliant
Brilliant
YAY I love Noel
This was a fucking brilliant podcast.
Really surprised how funny David baddiel is. Really good story teller
This was FUCKING amazing! I'm pretty sure David Baddiel should be on every week.
This Is better than xfm its just 3 blokes having a laugh it made me die with laughter when david said the story about his daughter saying david baddiel
Love the fact Patrice O’neal was mentioned here
I always wanted to know what that first song they played was. Baddiel asked the question and Gervais had to but in and change the subject!
41:13 I wasnt expecting the story to end with his dad saying that 😮😂😂
These podcasts seem to end just as they're getting somewhere. The first 30 minutes are usually painful and then after that it's really funny. Still, these are good!
*Karls voice* "Where's karl!?.....Noel gallagher?.... yeah alright i'll take that one then"
Baddiel is fecking hilarious.
It was Quiet Riot, not Twisted Sister who also did a cover of Feel The Noise.
Does anyone know if these are available as downloadable podcasts?
Shout out to patrice!! Nice love ya Rick
Clever sidekick comedian and a wacky manc - just like the good ol’ days!
Man, David Baddiels stories made this episode!
magic this
Hopefully sometime soon:"With me today is a man with a head...a man with a head LIKE A FUCKING ORANGE THE CUUUUUUNNNNNT!!!!"
Oasis were refreshing, seriously needed. Come back!!
Has the New York Times' piece on David Baddiel been published yet? ;-)
any way to get this in podcast form?
Apart from a few re-used anecdotes, Ricky wasn’t as repetitive as usual in this one.. That’s a big step for him 👏
Which is the episode where Gervais and Baddiel talk about CountDankula, the Scot who made a pug do a Nazi salute? I'd listen to this to see if this is the one, but I can't listen to Noel for an hour and a half to check.
Look, this is never gonna be the new XFM and he's not gonna have the guys on. So let's move on, forget the past, never speak of it again.... and have a friendly game of Fifteen Taiwan.
Aaannnnnnaaaaaallllll!!! 😂
Suzanne modeled her hair on dave hill
the fact that Noel comes across as having the smallest ego in the room....
Get Clive Warren on
Play a record.
He played Elvis In the ghetto, talked about Dave Hill from Slade and was sat next to a manc twat and did not mention Karl at all. Either this means they 've really fallen out or Karl might make a surprise appearance on one of these shows. Fingers crossed.
