Mind Of B American humour is totally different to English humour. So different that it cant be explained. Im not English, but Irish and grew up looking at alot of English humour. Both are good, just different.

Tara Love your right tara, I was brought up in England but my parents are irish and all my family are living in ireland. Irish and english humour are quite similar yet with a few differences, yet american humour is quite different from both. I love them all equally, a good joke's a good un regardless of nationality.

I've watched all Rcky and Ellen interviews..and she seems so uncomfortable around him. She seems to not like him or something..but still plays nice. I love Ellen, but she seems fake at times.This is why i LOVE Ricky, not only is he a naturally funny guy..but he is very intelligent and real. He never acts up or seems fake. Funny guy.

In my opinion Ellen in the old stand up performances was much funnier than him...then now she chose to be a host in a show and that is what she focuses on! and btw it is easier to make people laugh by taking down others ..i want to see what would remain in ricky gervais' comedy if you take out the 'trashing people''s part. I like Gervais ..don't get me wrong, but I have a soft spot for good people... however, everybody has a different taste over people, so we have to agree to disagree.

He doesn't really put other people down...he is playing with certain images. Ricky isn't mean spirited..i think the main problem is the difference between american/european sense of humor. americans are easily offended. Ellen is a comedian too she should understand. and Ricky seems to be a good and down to earth guy who laughs about himself too. maybe something happened backstage between these two.

Animal people are the best. I don't get on with people because all of them annoy me or piss me off, but with animals, I love them. They don't hurt me or annoy me, great bunch to be around. I'd take the company of animals over humans any day. I've had 8 dogs in my life, 6 passed and I have 2 now (both rescues) and I couldn't ask for better company. I get Ricky, I won't get up for the toilet or to get my coffee because my child wants to be in my lap. They're not dogs to me, they're my kids.

Ellen has had him on the show a few times and she's always so reserved with it. Why? He knows what kind of show he's on, he'll respect it.

tbh i think that ellen actually just likes him and just lets him do his thang. She's mentioned about guests that she has to think about questions, keep things interesting and moving... so when she has a high-energy guest on, she just lets them do whatever, sits back and enjoys. Seems to me that's what is happening. I feel like when she really enjoys things, she doesn't express it much - it's an inside/inner/introverted thing. People used to think that about me and thought i was bored, or having a bad attitude about whatever, though really i was loving it, and even in a state of bliss in a lot of those instances. Maybe she just wants to experience and appreciate him. Kuz he's amazing. :)
