72? How did that happen?? I saw him in concert several years back and he was really good. Spoke to everyone afterwards, signed autographs. Really a nice man.
Rick Springfield is as nice a person as his fans hope he is. Over a span of 20 years I had the priviledge of managing the backstage area at a festival where Rick played twice. Of all the artists and crews I worked with over the years Rick, his manager, road crew and band were always the kindest, least demanding and grateful folks I worked with. It didn't matter what position the individual held, he and his team treated everyone with grace and gratitude. The bonus for the festival was his amazing interaction with his VERY devoted fan base - the man is the definition of a ROCK STAR
It's incredible to see how young Rick Springfield looks, in 2022 he turns 73 yet he could pass as a 30 something. Nice to hear he's still retained some of his Australian accent.
I met Rick briefly back around '03-04 while I was doing EMS at one of his concerts. He talked with me during his sound check, just me and him in the amphitheater, warming up with Jessie's Girl, and talking between versus. Really nice guy.
Damn good stuff right there. 40 years sure went fast.
