Atlanta fed GDP now estimates Q3 at .3%. Two weeks ago they said 2.5% GDP growth. WE are days away from recording 3 straight negative quarters. The economy is in a recession. This will now be nearly half of his presidency spent with the economy shrinking.

All of those people who keep complaining that others need to find a better job, you need to listen to this guy. There just aren't enough out there for everyone who is completely qualified. College grads and experienced people are competing with non-college educated candidates for the very same lowly part time jobs with no benefits, just to hold them over hoping something better comes along. Meanwhile, taking that job ends up working against them when applying for better jobs. Yet, if they aren't working, that too works against them. This is true for both young and old. The amount of good full time jobs that we need are just not out there. At least, not enough for all who need them and are even qualified for them. As the man said, we've LOST full time jobs. This is real and those seeking a decent job know this to be true. Just because some retail business or restaurant has a sign saying they are hiring, doesn't mean that companies that provide one with decent full time pay and benefits package are hiring.

The market data completely contradicts this viewpoint. Currently there is statistically 2.4 job openings for every 1 applicant. It’s part of the reason the FED is pushing for extended interest rate hike until the labor market faces equilibrium

@@brian2440 I don't care what the data says. I can tell you that I've encountered all sorts of people from all over the place who can't find decent jobs. This has been going on for years, at least since 2008. These good candidates send out hundreds of resumes and can't even get an interview. Then when they do, rarely are they the ones who get the jobs. Sure, some will, but if you talked to job seekers, you will learn a whole other world that exists outside of data... which is often wrong, as well as cooked.

All you need to fix the economy is tell every senator in Washington that if they spend money without a plan to make it back other than stiffing America with the tab they're not eligible for re-election.
