I’m a former Catholic (now Lutheran)…you start ON Ash Wednesday. Even though I’m no longer Catholic, I almost always sacrifice something I like. The least I can do given Jesus sacrificed for us! You can do it Kelly! I’ve given up alcohol a couple of times and you’ll feel great!

You’re so right. My basement is full of it. Pretty sure the upstairs is as well. The ceilings are peeling off in my master bedroom. I lost my homeowners insurance and a tornado hit it a weeks later this past Dec. 😂 Gotta laugh or sink. Unfortunately I bought this POS 4 years ago trying to downscale from a huge home. Had no idea what was lurking. My inspector didn’t find anything wrong. 🙄 Wishing Kelly and Rick THE best on getting into a better home.

Funny Melaleuca Gold Bar story..I worked at Melaleuca in the late 90’s in the call center at the end of the month taking orders (so we could get the products 😁). The Gold Bar used to be in a clear package. This lady called in and said she wanted to place her order but wanted to change her standard order. She said she loved the Gold Bar so much because it lasts forever. She said she had the same bar for 6 months and it never gets smaller. Hmmm…it’s good, but that didn’t seem right. After a few questions we realized she hadn’t taken off the wrapper. Hahahahaha!!!! Thus, the wrapper is no longer clear. 🤣.

I add the maraschino cherries after I flip it. You can serve warm by itself, or a'la node. The crispy edges are my favorite slice. Guaranteed .. if you take it somewhere the pan will be clean when you take it home.

I agree. Too many use go fund me. My daughter showed me how tic toc has a huge group of people who go on all day and beg for money. I laughed. It’s crazy. But allysa Milano should be ashamed. My daughter’s cheerleading team did car washes sold pizzas and candy. Your right Rick and Kelly too many think the world owes them a hand out. What is this woman teaching her child. My daughter learned to work not ask for handouts. All money earned went to the team as a whole. So the kids learned to earn the money for the extras they wanted as a team. That’s the problem today. I don't think the 'go fund me' was for Melissa Mannalo (?) Kid. She was raising money for the Team. As the team could not afford it.

This episode cracked me up. I love Kelly and her truth telling. So real. Rick is so real and when he talks about money I can tell he has worked his way up, appreciates all he has and he is so honest when talking about what things cost etc. I'm 72 and am the same way. especially now when a burger in a restaurant is $20 or more.

I appreciate your show so much. I have to listen every single morning before I leave to go teach my special needs students. Thank you for everything you both do.

every entertainment show or channel on television has commercials or is subscription based. our rick & kelly show on patreon.com has no commercials because people pay to subscribe. we'd encourage you to do the same! are you suggesting if someone offers us money to promote a product we love on youtube, we should turn it down? we do our best to balance & minimize the ads but this is our job and we need to get paid so we in turn can pay our bills, just like everyone else who actually works in America. thank you

And to say you do not do that on Patreon is patently false because you are now advertising your supplements on the show. At least be honest. Also, KZread charges us 1999 per month to not have to listen to advertisements so that you guys can cram them in and one product is fine but you guys have turned into a quasi infomercial .

You are so right. Rick& Kelly fail to understand that we pay premium each month for KZread and in turn KZread pays them for each view. If they want to make money then create a fantastic show for your viewers and get tonnes of subscribers. More subscribers more money…. There is a reason they are holding at 45,000

Sunday's are a day of rest. When you fast for lent it is 40 days. Sunday's you do rest from fasting. Otherwise, that would make it 45 days. You don't fast 45 days of lent. you fast 40 days.

My mother was catholic, my father was Lutheran then we all became presbyterian --- that's why I was a mixed up kid 😂😂😂 just joking, oh and my mom wouldn't serve meat on Fridays the whole time we were growing up so she held on to some of her catholic beliefs 😅. My kids had to do fundraisers to earn for their school teams. As far as Girl Scout cookies, they went door-to-door I didn’t take it to work and have all the pilots and flight attendants of all of American Airlines by their cookies lol. People should be ashamed of themselves doing go fund me

I’m a private duty nurse, I plan to work till I die. Or close to it. I will just cut my hrs down to like 2 10’s a week. Even if I don’t have too. I would be bored & I unfortunately need a routine. Now if I won the lotto & wasn’t just comfortable I would travel.

Ash Wednesday is the start of Lent. If you are giving up alcohol, perhaps you could have a non-alcoholic drink; supposedly it tastes good, it's the best of both worlds, you can still drink, and you are still giving up something. IMO

I would never ask someone for money like that. FYI Cooperstown is a stones throw away. My daughter worked there one summer. If it rains they still have to get their games in. If it stops raining and 1am then you play at 1am. My daughter would get home at 3am and have to be back by 6am or 7am. The boys are all so rude. Parents need to do better.

So right Kelly - if we don’t teach our kids to fish - they don’t learn to thrive. It’s a common mistake. Regarding the chocolate bar sales. There’s a million ideas 💡 for kids or groups to earn money. Start with the lemonade stand mentality - that’s exactly how we do it to create revenue streams in corporate business.
