I recently bought my first Hinderer from DLT. Great knife and great service. DLT had a lot of Hinderers I couldn't find anywhere else.

Very cool to see his shop. I got 2 hinderers myself. I love how everything on a hinderer is precisely machined. Every time I take it apart, it goes back very easily and blade is centered.

Now we can understand why Hinderer knives command their price. When you consider the amount of milling the parts go through and the tolerance they meet, it justifies the price. With this kind of quality control, generations of your family will own and use the same knife. I still marvel at the finish quality of my XM-18 Skinny, all the screws are flared out and are flush with the scales. I liked it so much, I bought a second (both from DLT) and now have 3 Hinderer knives. I'm a fan of Rick Hinderer, his design and his craftsmen's accomplishment.

I've seen two factory tour videos. Spyderco in Golden Colorado and this video. This factory screams quality in a orderly supply chain management. Very organized. Spyderco in Golden Colorado is a dump. My first knife purchase was a Spyderco made in Taichung Taiwan. I trust that the factory in Taiwan is like the one in this video. Double thumbs up to this knife maker. Now I know why Spyderco Golden Colorado has poor quality control.

Now if he could run those machines 24hrs so i can get a gaddam knife
