As a local Oilers fan, I went to the Shark Tank two times this year to see my team play the Sharks. S.J. has a lot of passion for the Sharks, and they needed this big win. I'm happy for all Sharks fans. Remarkably, his dad works in local professional sports. Great Story, just awesome. Congratulations to the San Jose Sharks and the Celebrini family!

Im happy that the Sharks won the 1st overall pick they definitely needed Celebrini the most. And he also played with San Jose Jr Sharks U14 so theres a nice connection there aswell. Rick is just being humble here Macklin is 100% the best player available at #1

Yo for Basketball fans who are new to hockey or think it’s not for them, give it a try! The games are really cheap right now while we are rebuilding, and the cheap seats is where you will meet all the families who will be happy to adopt you and teach you the ropes if you just tell them it’s your first game! Let the ushers know also, they are soooooo dedicated and wonderful. I know a couple of them from Reddit and discord and they are just amazing stewards of hockey fandom. We have a great team with a really great reputation, and our rebuild is really looking spicy!

the biggest culture change in all bay area teams is "Family" every team has some kind of "family tie" and its kinda cool to see

Celebrini and Smith will be alright. Plus a second first round pick this year and two first rounders next season. Any way it shakes out this is a move towards returning to relevance as a franchise.

You already have your franchise player, you might grab demidov lindstrom or the big right D as an other elite/franchise player. You can add to that all your other B prospects right now. That's more than enough for your foundation. It would have been a tragedy if you got your hands on Celebrini while teams like colombus never had cups and superstars in their history (you can debate for Nash, but that's it).

I’m a hockey fan first and love hockey more than any other sport but you should watch some basketball. It’s a fun sport . Nothing beats the excitement of hockey but the NBA can also be extremely exciting . Look up mash up clips of playoff buzzer beaters . Can’t deny how awesomely exciting that is.

These guys aren't carrying things on; they're exploiting the business and social infrastructure in order to destroy everything. To force a new city to adjust to a new team and take for granted the excitement an adaptive nature of the overall NBA fanbase while bringing in this young basketball superpower, this tremendous talent who nevertheless is a young pawn in the worst way to shake everything up, treating it as the greatest good thing when it's going to devastate what already exists... Celebrini isn't considered generational. Crosby-McDavid-Bedard were all viewed as generational and we're almost 10 years apart (2005-2015-2023)

San Jose had the best odds but I absolutely agree, the NHL made sure a team with a lesser chance would not jump over the Sharks! Basketball rigged too

Warriors need to get a a better defensive coach, a true Big man and Wings who can help Steph and get 20+ points a night. Keep the core and add the right pieces. Tell Steve small ball isn’t a threat anymore. Everybody can shoot 3’s now.
