That last part too with Rick, when he says “he’s… the real deal”, Rick says it in almost a confessional way. He’s always talked about begin the top dog of all the Ricks ever, the Rickiest Rick and bs like that. But saying “the Real Deal” means the sci-fi Rick is, The Rick of them all, something that this Rick we know has always wanted to be; Someone who does not care, has no limitations or morals, or connections to hold him back. That’s what it means to be “The Rick”.

Damn it's really impossible to please everyone because these are the "lore/canon" type episodes that not only RTTV but so many fans were crying for before the Season 5 finale 🤦🏾‍♂️ I loved this episode! But personally i love most of the episodes even the one-off ones 🤷🏾‍♂️

Lots of Marvel references in this episode. Also, I think when Morty threw the spear and hit Jerry it was a reference to when Captain America caught a spear that was thrown at him while he was standing in the shadows (Infinity War).

Our Rick is C-137 Rick. Or least the number he registered for himself as he helped build the citadel. When Morty’s are assigned a Rick, they become that Rick’s number as well. The numbers are insignificant anyway as the citadel was destroyed along with the registry.
